Background and Notes on How the "Weekly Plays" Page to your advantage:
2009 Update:
From the computer: I typically advise playing Unders slightly less than Overs and Computer ATS.
In terms of Personal vs. Computer plays, I would study the near-term records of the plays and play the plays that seem to have the most focused read in terms of recent accuracy stronger.
In general, in terms of weight per play, I suggest looking at year to
date records and historical records of each play. Those plays which
are "hot" right now could be played stronger. Those plays with better
historical success could be played stronger.
On the plays page, I list the plays in their own section, and for each play, show the record for the last 4 weeks, for the season, and for the last 3 seasons, so you know precisely how that specific play has performed.
As a general FYI, historical Computer System Records since inception are:
ATS: 105-55-1 (66%)
Overs Plays: 49-12 (80%)
Unders Plays: 85-49-2 (63%)
This season I am attempting to release the computer system plays at whatever time will allow us to get the best line. Thus, some plays may be released as early
as Tuesday, other plays may be released on gameday. It all depends on
when I can lock in the best line, because when I release the plays to you, my clients, the plays are released to The Sports Monitor for tracking. Thus, it is imperative that I get the best line both for your ease of play, and for accurate tracking purposes.
The computer system is not perfect, and is obviously subject to a bad
week from time to time. In the long run, however, it has seen such
lofty success that it is beyond compare in the industry. There is no
computer program which has released over 350 plays over a 3 year period
and has hit 67%. I feel confident it will perform well again this
season. But, now that it has seen a few extremely solid weeks to start
the 2009 season (hitting 75% thru Week 5), you must continue to use
smart money management. Remember, long term success is the goal!
General Comments:
The Weekly Plays page launches on Wednesday and subscribers will be notified when it is available and will receive new password and log in information that is user specific and changes on a weekly basis.
Computer system plays get posted starting on Wednesday. Personal Plays typically are posted starting on Friday. Updated injury information and weather information (including up to date radar and forecast for all games that are selected as plays by Sharp Football Analysis) are shared with you on Wednesday and are updated throughout the week.
On
gamedays (Sun, Mon, Thurs) check the page frequently, and always view
the Announcements at the top of the page. Evening plays may be added on Sunday after
the 1 pm EST games have commenced. I will typically announce the
possibility of such an addition, but it is in your best interest to
visit the page often and hit the "refresh" button on your browser.
System lines are based on the lines available on Tuesday.
You should use the next few days (Tuesday and after) to evaluate plays,
determine if you agree with the system plays, and find the best line
you can. The best line may be found sooner or later, depending on the
way the market is moving. I will update this daily to indicate key
line movement and analysis. I will also add additional commentary to
the system plays as the week progresses and my research continues.
Also, please use care when making any system play. The goal is for you
to make money week in and week out. If you are going too hard on these
system plays and the system has a bad week, you won't be happy and
neither will I. I am working for you, and I want to urge smart money
management. Being selective is always key. Again, I will post my top
"personal plays" at the end of the week, like I usually do. So if you
want to only play the top plays, that is fine, you can see them on
Friday night or Saturday morning in the same format you have received
in the past.
Finally, regardless of what I indicate in
the "comments" section, a system play cannot be removed from a "play
on" status without key player injury or weather issues. If I provide a
comment on a play that would lead you to believe the play may not come
through, the play still counts towards the record unless there is a key
injury or a weather situation. So win or lose, the system generates a play and it is what it is: I do not control what it selects. I cannot remove the
play simply because I don't think it will hit. The system and its
record must be properly maintained and thus, my own personal opinions
do not get factored in to my computer system plays. For that reason, I
have my "personal plays". This is very important as Sharp Football Analysis prides itself on its computer system's ability to accurately predict outcomes, and it is important to leave its predictions unaltered.
