We’re back at it again for Week 7 to try to uncover some stacks that can provide value on this week’s main slate using the free tools at Sharp Football Stats. There are three games with totals at 49 or above so there are plenty of stacking opportunities.
In addition to that, we have some teams that like to go fast facing off against each other. Both of those types of game environments should be a big part of your decision making each week.
Game Stack
The New York Giants take on the Arizona Cardinals this week in a game that should have a high volume of plays. Both of these teams are in the top seven in unadjusted pace so far.
With Christian Kirk unlikely to suit up, Larry Fitzgerald ($6,100) should see the lion’s share of the work again this week. Through six games, Fitzgerald is a full 11 targets clear of the next closest Cardinal, David Johnson ($7,800). Kyler Murray ($6,700) has had an excellent start to his fantasy career as he’s shown he can score in many different ways, even when the offense as a whole isn’t scoring a ton of points. The Giants played three snaps against 10 personnel this year while Arizona runs 10 on 45% of their snaps. It will test their depth in the secondary and they haven’t been world-beaters in that regard.
After you stack up the Cardinals, the obvious choice to run it back is Evan Engram ($6,500). There was some concern he was in danger of missing this week’s contest but he’s practiced fully all week so far. Arizona’s struggles against the TE have been well documented. They’ve allowed 10.7 yards per attempt and a 68% success rate to the position so far in 2019.
QB-TE Stack
With the exception of a dud against the Steelers, Lamar Jackson ($6,800) has been excellent. He’s scored more than 20 DK Points in five of six games this year. Jackson’s rushing upside can’t be overstated. Through Week 6, Jackson has more DK points from rushing alone than Joe Mixon has on the year.
The Ravens are using Mark Andrews ($4,900) all over the field. He’s become Jackson’s favorite target. With so many chalky options at TE this weekend, Andrews will provide leverage in GPPs at a very reasonable price. He hasn’t fallen below 7 targets in any game so far this year.
RB-DEF Stack
Even on the road, finding a running back that’s on a team favored by 10 points is a good spot. The 49ers RB should be valuable in Washington this Sunday. The problem is that the backfield is a bit of a mess. Tevin Coleman ($5,600) was on the field for 55% of snaps, earning three targets and 18 carries last week. A back under $6,000 who’s likely going to see somewhere in the vicinity of 20 opportunities should be part of your GPP portfolio.
Stacking Coleman with the San Francisco defense ($4,100) is a great way to differentiate your lineup. They’ve forced five fumbles and have 17 sacks on the year. In addition, they’ve had seven interceptions. Finding a play this tightly correlated at under $10,000 allows plenty of flexibility when filling out the rest of your lineup.
