We're nearing the midway point of the 2020 NFL season and while some teams continue to struggle with injuries, others are getting healthy just in time to make a push for the postseason.
Here's a breakdown of what starters and key players could be out or limited in this weekend's action:

- Looks like the weak Patriots passing game is going to enter the game against Buffalo in even worse shape with both WR Julian Edelman and K’neal Harry out. Last week Jakobi Meyers caught 4 of 6 targets for 60 yards. Otherwise, Damiere Byrd and Gunner Olszewski who has 5 targets and 3 receptions in his career will need to step up. Not a pretty group among Cam Newton’s “weapons”.
- According to Ian Rappaport, CB Stephon Gilmore tweaked his knee and had an MRI after leaving practice early Thursday. Rappaport reported on Saturday that Gilmore is out and will not be travelling with the team to Buffalo.
- Besides Gilmore there are 10 others considered questionable. Among the key players listed as questionable include slot CB J.C. Jackson, OL Joe Thuney and Shaq Mason. It’s hard to handicap who is in or out Sunday but they all practiced on a limited basis on Friday which gives them a shot to play.

- The Bills OL could be in trouble this week, especially considering both starting Guards Brian Winters and Cody Ford may not play and backup Quinton Spain is no longer on the roster. Ford has already been declared out an Winters did practice Friday so he has a chance to play. Winters has played poorly, ranking in the bottom 25 percentile in every major category among Guards this season. In addition, he has been called for penalties on 2% of his snaps this season, highest among all NFL Guards. Ford hasn’t been as bad as Winters but he hasn’t played well either, ranking bottom 30 in all major categories this season among 87 qualified Guards. With all of that being said, here is the problem. The main backup for Buffalo at Guard, Ike Boettger, has produced ugly numbers this year. He has allowed an incredible 10 pressures on only 65 pass block snaps for a league worst 15.4% pressure rate. He has generated a 16.8 PFF pass block grade, which is somehow only 2nd worst among NFL Guards. Veteran Jon Feliciano is also available for the first time which would really help. He allowed a 3.8% pressure rate last season, including 4 sacks. His 64.1 PFF grade ranked 34th among Guards last year.
- Starting Safety Micah Hyde has a concussion and may not play Sunday. Hyde has been one of the better safeties the last two years although he hasn’t graded out as well this season. He is graded as a top 17 tackler among NFL safety’s the last two seasons. Veteran Dean Marlowe would take over for Hyde and he has played 31 coverage snaps this season after playing 58 coverage snaps last season. In the last two seasons, he has allowed 12 of 18 targets to be caught for 96 yards and 2 TDs. He has a 36.7 PFF overall grade this season on his limited snaps after grading out at a decent 65.8 last season.
- Top coverage LB Matt Milano, who has missed multiple games this season, is questionable again this week. With the Patriots limited at WR, we could see a lot of James White in the passing game.

- The great news for Las Vegas is that they don’t have the Covid-19 distraction this week and they get back RT Trent Brown. Brown has played sparingly this season but was a top 30 Tackle last season while only allowing 1 sack. This is big for a Raiders OL that has to deal with Myles Garrett.

- Myles Garrett was limited in practice this week but is expected to play Sunday. Otherwise, both Austin Hooper and Guard Wyatt Teller are out again. Obviously, the big news is that OBJ is out for the season with a torn ACL and Rashard Higgins will start in his place. Higgins filled in nicely last week and has had great rapport with Baker Mayfield throughout his career, consistently ranking in the top 10 in success rate when given opportunities.

- The bye week came at a good time for the Colts as they get back star LB Darius Leonard and might be getting back rookie WR Michael Pittman Jr. The biggest news is the injury to Center Ryan Kelly that came in practice this week. Kelly has graded out as the 11th best pass blocker and 6th best run blocker this season by PFF. He has allowed only 3 total pressures and no sacks this season. 5th round rookie Danny Pinter from Ball State would start in his place and he has only taken 21 career snaps with 14 at TE. It does help the Colts that the Lions don’t have overpowering DT to really take advantage if Kelly is out. Danny Shelton and Da’Shawn Hand are the Lions starting DT and they have a combined 8 pressures and 0 sacks.

CB | Hamstring | DNP | LP | LP | Questionable |
Injured Reserve: LB Julian Okwara, leg; TE Hunter Bryant, concussion; FB Nick Bawden, undisclosed; CB Justin Coleman, hamstring.
- Two CBs, Darryl Roberts and Desmond Trufant are questionable this week. Trufant has barely played this season while Roberts hasn’t missed a game yet. Roberts has really struggled, however, grading out as the 92nd ranked coverage CB according to PFF. He has allowed a 71% completion percentage and 8.5 yards per attempt while in coverage this season. Roberts is the main slot CB for the Lions until Justin Coleman can come back from IR.
- The biggest injury comes in the way of LT Taylor Decker, who did not practice Friday with a shoulder injury. Decker is the 11th highest graded Tackle and hasn’t allowed a sack all season after allowing 7 last season. The Lions are PFF’s 3rd best run blocking and 11th best pass blocking team this year and Decker has been a big reason why. If he is out, then the Lions will have to completely shift their OL. RT Tyrell Crosby will move to LT with RG Halapoulivaati Vaitai moving to RT. Joe Dahl, who started week 1 but hurt his groin, would return to LG and Jonah Jackson shifting to RG from LG. Essentially, Dahl would be the new starter on the OL and is a solid veteran who can fill in nicely. The issue is all of the shifting along the OL against a very good defense.

- The bye came at a great time in order to get Lamar Jackson’s knee healthy but the Ravens are dealing with a couple question marks. RB Mark Ingram left their last game against Philadelphia and is out this week. To be honest it’s probably for the best as rookie J.K. Dobbins has been by far the Ravens most explosive RB and would look to see more action. Dobbins ranks 2nd in the NFL among RBs in explosive run percentage at 20%.
- DE Derek Wolfe missed their last game and is questionable again this week. He did practice on Wednesday and Thursday but did not on Friday. CB Jimmy Smith has been limited all week with an achilles injury but is expected to play. What is odd is he was questionable two weeks ago in the days prior to their week 6 game against Philadelphia with a “knee” but did end up playing. Marlon Humphrey spends a lot of his time covering slot WRs so he will most likely cover Juju Smith Schuster with Smith on Chase Claypool or Dionte Johnson. Smith is the 17th rated CB in coverage according to PFF.

Injured Reserve: T Taylor Lewan, knee; CB Adoree’ Jackson, knee.
- DE Jadaveon Clowney has been limited at practice this week, but should play on Sunday. While he hasn’t recorded a sack this season, his 10.8% pressure rate ranks 35th among 107 edge rushers and his 22 pressures account for 31% of the entire Titans defensive pressures. He is also the 2nd best run defender on the Titans and ranked 11th among NFL DE in run defense last season. Veteran Vic Beasley would get more action and he has 5 pressures, 0 sacks on 56 pass rush snaps. Obviously, he was a solid pass rusher in his career with Atlanta so although it’s a drop off it shouldn’t be too big as a pass rusher. His run defense historically hasn’t been very good, generating run defensive grades of 60.6 and 47.3 the last two seasons.
- A potentially bigger issue for the Titans defense could come in the secondary with three players along the depth chart who don’t look to be playing Sunday. Starting CB Adoree Jackson has been out all season and wont be returning as of yet and backups Tye Smith and Kristian Fulton don’t look ready to play as well. Starting CB Jonathan Joseph was limited in practice this week with an illness but was able to practice on Friday. Even so the depth is an issue and the Titans will have to call up a CB from the practice squad. In addition, this leads to 7th round rookie Chris Jackson having to continue to play more snaps, which is not good. He has graded out as the 127th ranked CB out of 128 CBs this season and has allowed a 76.9% completion percentage. Jackson has predominantly played in the slot and will be matched up against Tyler Boyd. He allowed 4 of 4 targets to be caught by Juju Smith-Schuster last week in the slot with 3 resulting in a first down.

- The Bengals OL is an absolute mess. Three starting OL- LT Jonah Williams, RT Bobby Hart and C Trey Hopkins are all out. Hopkins has been excellent so far, posting a PFF grade that ranks 11th out of 37 Centers, with a 10th ranked pass blocking grade. Billy Price will take over at Center and he has been atrocious since he started his NFL career. Last year while mainly playing at Guard, he graded out as the 191st ranked Guard out of 200. In 2018, he played exclusively at Center and graded out as the 62nd ranked Center.
- Williams, playing in his first season after missing all of last year due to injury, has done well as the Bengals best OL. He has graded out as the 26th ranked overall Tackle in the NFL and has allowed only 1 sack. Rookie 6th round pick Hakeem Adeniji will start in Williams’ place after taking the first 4 snaps of his career last week.
- Hart has graded out well overall, ranking 36th among all Tackles. His pass blocking hasn’t been as good as his run blocking as he has allowed 24 pressures and a 6.9% pressure rank (62nd out of 77 Tackles). 2nd year man Fred Johnson will start for Hart and he has been awful so far this season. He has posted a 39.9 PFF grade, has allowed 11 pressures and 2 sacks on 131 pass block snaps for an 8.4% pressure rate, ranking 82nd out of 87 Guards. He has taken 4 total snaps in his career at RT.
- CB Darius Philips is Questionable but considering starting CB William Jackson is playing Sunday, this shouldn’t be a major problem against a run heavy Titans offense.
- RB Joe Mixon will miss his 2nd straight game. Gio Bernard will fill in again this week and is coming off of a 13 carry, 37 yard rushing performance. He did catch the ball well, however, with 5 receptions, 59 yards and a TD.

- The Vikings defense is in shambles after the trade of their best pass rusher Yannick Ngaouke, starting LB Todd Davis and CB Cameron Dantzler both on the Covid-19 list and CBs Holton Hill and Mike Hughes out due to injury. The Vikings pass rush takes a huge hit losing nearly 30% of their total pressures with the Ngaouke trade. Jayln Holmes will most likely start in place of Ngaouke and only has 6 pressures and no sacks on 138 pass rush snaps. His 4.3% pressure rate ranks 103rd out of 107 edge rushers. He also is graded out poorly as a run defender, ranking 83rd among edge rushers.
- At CB, rookie Jeff Gladney most likely is matched up against Davante Adams this week and he ranks 118th in QB rating allowed and 121st in ypa allowed out of 128 qualified CBs. The other CB spots will be shared by Kris Boyd and Harrison Hand. Boyd is in his 2nd season and has less than 100 coverage snaps under his belt. In his short NFL career, Boyd has allowed 13 of 17 targets to be caught (73.6%) for 157 yards (12.1 yds/rec) and a 104.3 QB rating allowed. Hand is a 5th round rookie from Temple who has only played on 29 coverage snaps. This could be a long day for the Vikings secondary.
- The good news is that star RB Dalvin Cook did practice in full Friday and should play.

- The Chargers really haven’t had a healthy OL all season and doesn’t look like they will again Sunday. RG Trai Turner has missed the last few games and continues to be out. RT Bryan Bulaga has been limited in practice this week and is questionable after missing the last 3 games with a back injury. RT Trey Pipkins has filled in for Bulaga but was placed on the Covid-19 list and is out as well. Storm Norton normally would be the next man up but he too is questionable with an injury. Tyree St. Louis would probably start if all three are out but he could also be replacing Turner at RG as fill in Ryan Groy is also placed on the Covid-19 list. If Bulaga doesn’t play they may have to call up a practice squad player. If Bulaga can’t go the Chargers will not have a single OL with a PFF grade above 57.1 starting on Sunday. That’s equivalent to the 151st best OL in the NFL out of 200 qualified OL. Whew.
- Cornerback Desmond King was added to the Chargers' injury report on Saturday afternoon. King is now ruled out for “non-injury reasons.” The loss is a huge blow to the LA secondary, King ranks ninth in allowed passer rating among all slot corners.

- Offensively, RB Philip Lindsay and WR Tim Patrick are both questionable. The Broncos will be missing starting RG Graham Glasgow due to Covid-19. He has been excellent this year, ranking 12th in the NFL among Guards in run blocking grade and 59th out of 87 Guards in pass blocking grade. Filling in will be Austin Schlottmann who has played limited snaps this season. He did play 263 snaps last season as a rookie and produced a 58.2 PFF grade and only allowed 7 pressures on 159 pass block snaps (4.4% pressure rate). He allowed 1 sack last season. His 56.5 run block grade is a big step down from Glasgow, however.
- The good news is after a Covid scare, starting RT Demar Dotson has been cleared to play. He has been really good, posting the 19th best PFF grade at Tackle.

- The 49ers are down to Jerick McKinnon and Jamycal Hasty at running back this week. McKinnon has just 17 rushing yards on 10 carries since getting a pair of starts in Weeks 3 and 4. Hasty has gotten 18 carries in the last two weeks, rushing for 94 yards. However, Tevin Coleman could be an option as he is eligible to return from the IR this week.
- San Francisco is also down to their third-string center, Hroniss Grasu. Grasu got his second start of 2020 last week and really struggled, receiving a pass-blocking grade of 15.7 from PFF.

- Seattle is also struggling to stay healthy at running back, with Chris Carson's, Travis Homer's and Carlos Hyde's status for Sunday in question. The only other running back on the Seahawks' roster is rookie Deejay Dallas, who has just two carries all season.
- Safety Jamal Adams is a gameday decision for Sunday. The former Jet hasn't played since Week 3 with a groin strain. Ryan Neal has been starting in Adams place and should be good to go on Sunday after passing concussion protocol this week. Neal has a 54.9 defensive grade from PFF this year.

- Once again, the Saints are without Michael Thomas, who will miss his sixth-straight game. Emmanuel Sanders will also miss Week 8 as he deals with COVID-19. The loss of Marquez Callaway hurts as well, he was the Saints' leading receiver in Week 7. Expect Tre'Quan Smith and Deonte Harris to be the starting receivers in Week 8.

- Starting center Cody Whitehair will be out on Sunday with a calf injury, but has struggled in pass protection the last few weeks, earning grades of 29.8, 26.3 and 16.0 in pass protection from PFF. Rookie Sam Mustipher should get the start in Whitehair's place. The Notre Dame product has just 26 snaps under his belt.
- Despite being listed as doubtful, Allen Robinson completed concussion protocol on Saturday and is expected to play.

- The loss of Andy Dalton thrusts rookie Ben DiNucci into the first start of his NFL career. The seventh-round pick has a tough task in his first game, playing behind an offensive line that's missing both starting tackles and center. The Eagles have the third-ranked pass-rush according to PFF.

- The Eagles are expecting five players to return this week. Dallas Goedert, LB TJ Edwards, T Jason Peters, WR Jalen Reagor and S Rudy Ford were all activated on Saturday morning. Peters will take over for Jordan Mailata at left tackle. Mailata struggled the past three weeks, allowing 13 quarterback pressures.
- The return of Goedert and Reagor will bolster the Eagles' depleted receiving corps. Goedert had eight catches for 101 yards and a TD in Week 1 and should see a lot of targets with Zach Ertz remaining on the IR. Reagor immediately becomes the Eagles most dangerous deep threat in the passing game.
- The loss of Cre'Von LeBlanc is a surprise one for the Eagles, who will go into Sunday with Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox and Nickell Robey-Coleman as their only healthy cornerbacks.
