Week 16 brings perhaps the most unique schedule of the season with our first Friday game of 2020 and a triple-header slated for Saturday.
With only two weeks remaining and just a handful of teams officially eliminated from playoff contention, staying healthy remains as important as possible. Here's a game-by-game breakdown of what injuries could affect this weekend's action:

Injured Reserve: CB Kris Boyd, shoulder; CB Mike Hughes, neck; LB Anthony Barr, pectoral; DE Danielle Hunter, undisclosed.
- Kyle Rudolph will miss his third-straight game with a foot injury. Irv Smith and Tyler Conklin have stepped up their production in Rudolph's absence. The duo has 15 catches, 197 yards, and two touchdowns over the last two games.
- Eric Kendricks has been out since Week 12 with a calf injury, but his replacements, Todd Davis and Troy Dye, aren't expected to play either due to a rib injury and a concussion, respectively. Hardy Nickerson could be the second linebacker next to Eric Wilson. Nickerson has played double-digit defensive snaps just twice this season, but made nine starts for the Bengals in 2017-2018. He has really struggled in coverage throughout his career, allowing 50 of 56 targets to be caught for 568 yards and 4 TDs. His QB rating allowed is an awful 132.7. Look for Alvin Kamara to potentially take advantage.

DE | Neck | LP | LP | DNP | Questionable |
Injured Reserve: WR Michael Thomas, ankle; WR Tre’Quan Smith, ankle; CB Patrick Robinson, hamstring.
- It's been a lost season for Michael Thomas, who will miss the rest of the regular season after being moved to the IR last week. However, because that move was prior to Week 14, Thomas will be eligible to return for the first round of the postseason. Emmanuel Sanders and Juwan Johnson led the Saints receivers in snaps last week.
- WR Tre'Quan Smith, guard Nick Easton, and safety Marcus Williams are out for the Saints vs. Vikings. Williams is sixth among Safeties in overall PFF Grade and he is first in run defense. Veteran D.J. Swearinger will start in his place. While he has struggled in his career in coverage he has been an above-average run defender.
- Guard Andrus Peat and DE Trey Hendrickson are questionable. The Peat injury could be an issue considering Easton is already declared out. Ceasar Ruiz would fill in at RG and he has been awful so far, ranking 89th out of 95 Guards in PFF pass blocking. Next on the depth chart is Will Clapp who has only played 45 snaps this season. In his career, Clapp has allowed an 8.7% pressure rate, including 4 sacks, in his career. Both Peat and Easton haven’t been great this season, ranking 64th and 73rd in PFF grade.

- Cornerback Carlton Davis leads the NFL in passes defended (18), but it seems like a longshot he plays on Saturday afternoon. Jamel Dean filled in for Davis last week and performed well. His 90.7 coverage grade on Pro Football Focus ranked sixth among cornerbacks in Week 15.

|
T | Concussion | DNP | LP | FP | Questionable |
Injured Reserve: CB Jeffrey Okudah, groin; CB Desmond Trufant, hamstring; DT Danny Shelton, knee; DE Trey Flowers, undisclosed; FB Nick Bawden, undisclosed.
- If Matthew Stafford is unable to play, Chase Daniel will start at quarterback for the Lions. Stafford has missed time in the past few weeks, playing 90-percent and 86-percent of the snaps in Weeks 14 and 15. Daniel has completed eight of the 12 passes he's thrown the past two weeks for 84 yards and an interception.
- There are a number of veterans questionable for Detroit, but much of that is probably to product of a short week. However, RT Tyrell Crosby will miss his third-straight game with an ankle injury. Matt Nelson and Halapoulivaati Vaitai have each started a game at right tackle since Crosby went out. Vaitai got the nod in Week 15, but lasted just 33 snaps before suffering a concussion. Nelson has played 197 snaps at right tackle this season, surrendering zero sacks and eight QB pressures.
- Center Frank Ragnow practiced for the first time since suffering a fractured throat against the Green Bay Packers and may play. LT Taylor Decker returned to practice Thursday after sitting out earlier in the week. Although Decker played every snap last week, he has been dealing with a groin injury since Tuesday.
- On defense, LB Jamie Collins and CB Daryl Roberts have both been limited in practice all week. Roberts has missed a number of games this week but he would be a welcome sight with a number of secondary injuries already. He hasn’t been great but he grades out as just below average in coverage grade. Collins is a veteran who has been the most consistent player on the defense.

- Another week and another messy injury report for the Niners. Key guys declared out include RB Raheem Mostert (ankle), QB Nick Mullens (elbow), WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring), CB Richard Sherman (calf), and safety Jimmie Ward (concussion). The Niners have plenty of RBs to fill in for Mostert. C.J.. Beathard, who is not a drop off much from Mullens, will take over at QB.
- Losing Sherman and Ward is a major loss for a secondary that had just welcomed back Sherman. Ward is top 13 in both PFF coverage and overall grade among zafeties. Marcell Harris takes over for Ward and he has been just dreadful. Harris ranks 94 out of 95 Safeties in coverage grade. He has allowed 3 TDs and over 26 yards per reception on only 12 targets this season. Last season he graded out as the 112th ranked Safety out of 163 Safeties so this isn’t a one-season problem. Expect Emmanuel Moseley to step back in at the left CB spot for Sherman as he did earlier this season. He is graded as the 84th ranked CB out of 125 CBs.
- DE Dion Jordan and DT Javon Kinlaw are questionable as well. They rank third and fourth in pressures on the defense.
- Now for the great news for the Niners. TE George Kittle will play and give this offense a big boost, though he will be one a pitch count.

- A lot of players are listed as questionable after a shortened week, but only TE Maxx Williams left last week's game against the Eagles early. Expect the key veterans, such as LB Haason Reddick and WR Larry Fitzgerald to be a full-go on Saturday afternoon.
- LB Dennis Gardeck is out for Arizona. He is the second-leading sacker on the defense with 7 and is the highest graded defender by PFF on the Cardinals. His 7 sacks are and 18 pressures are incredible considering he has only been on the field for 79 pass rush snaps. His 23% pressure rate ranks first in the NFL among edge rushers.
- RB Chase Edmonds is listed as questionable with knee and ankle issues.

- Solomon Kindley has been a key part of the Dolphins' interior offensive line, but he will be out on Saturday. Kindley has switched from right to left guard in recent weeks to replace Ereck Flowers, but Flowers should be back this week and Jesse Davis will make his third-straight start at right guard. Davis has played three different positions this year, but has allowed just one sack in 552 pass-blocking snaps. If Flowers is ruled out, Adam Pankey could get his second-career start.
- The Dolphins have their three top receiving options listed as questionable after missing last week's game. DeVante Parker, Jakeem Grant, and Mike Gisecki are all questionable to play. Lynn Bowden and Mack Hollins stepped up last week.

- Clelin Ferrell is a big loss for the Raiders. The former first-round pick is second on the team in quarterback pressures and overall defensive grade on PFF. Arden Key could make his first start since 2018. The LSU product has three career sacks, but ranks fourth on the team with 21 quarterback pressures this season.
- Derek Carr left last week's game but is expected to start Saturday night
- The Raiders' defense is an absolute mess. LBs Nicholas Morrow and Nick Kwiatkoski are on Covid-reserve and out Saturday. They rank 18th and 13th respectively in PFF coverage grade among 100 LBs. Expect veteran OLB Vic Beasley and LB Raekwon McMillan to take over. McMillan has a 29.1 PFF coverage grade after posting a poor 43.3 last year.
- Safety Erik Harris, who started last week in place of injured Jonathan Abram and backup Jeff Heath, is out due to Covid. Dallin Leavitt will get the start and he has posted a 44.2 PFF grade with a 41.8 coverage grade. He has only played 43 coverage snaps in his three-year career.

Injured Reserve: WR Olamide Zaccheaus, toe; DB Damontae Kazee, Achilles.
- Once again Julio Jones is out on Sunday. Look for Russell Gage to step up in the #2 role
- The OL is in shambles with 2 starters out in Guard James Carpenter and Center Alex Mack. Mack has been an excellent center his career but has struggled a bit this season, especially as a pass blocker. He has allowed 25 pressures on the season with a PFF pass block grade of 55. Carpenter has struggled as well and his backup Justin McCray isn’t a big dropoff overall. Mack’s backup is rookie 3rd round pick Matt Hennessy who has allowed 7 pressures and 1 sack on only 51 pass block snaps this season.
- Starting CB Darqueze Denard is out on Sunday and that is bad timing against the Chiefs. He is the highest graded coverage CB on the team (64% completion and 8.5 yds/rec) and has excelled as a run defender as well. Starting in his place should be Isaiah Oliver who has allowed the most passing TDs in coverage on the team with 6 and has allowed the highest QB rating at 127.3.
- Starting Safety Ricardo Allen is questionable with a concussion after missing the last 2 games.

- The Chiefs will be without 2 starting LBs in Damien Wilson and Anthony Hitchens (reserve/COVID-19 list). Neither has played well this season but missing 2 guys really hurts depth. Rookie Willie Gay and Ben Nieman will start. Gay has played solidly as a rookie but Neiman is a really poor run defender, posting a 29.1 run defense grade.
- Rookie RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is out leaving veteran Le’Veon Bell as the starter. Expect the Chiefs to really attack the Falcons secondary anyways.

- The biggest news for tomorrow is that both starting Tackles Anthony Costanzo and Braden Smith are out. Complicating matters is that backup LT Le'Raven Clark is already on IR. They rank 17 and 39th among NFL tackles in pass block grade and Smith is 15th in run blocking. Chaz Green and Will Holden are expected to start. Green has been bad, allowing 5 pressures and 2 sacks on only 65 pass block snaps. He’s been below average as well in run blocking. Holden is a 3 year journeyman and has allowed a poor 24 pressures and 4 sacks on 302 pass block snaps (8% pressure rate).

Despite the Giants recent run of success, Jones hasn't accounted for a touchdown in either of his last two starts and he was sacked six times against Arizona in Week 14 which led to his ankle injury. It could be even more challenging for Jones going against the Ravens if he is without Evan Engram and Golden Tate. Dante Pettis will start the game in the slot.

The Ravens rank fifth in the NFL in net yards per attempt and have allowed 300 yards just once since Week 3. Veteran Tramon Williams has been filling in for Smith in the slot, allowing six completions for 38 yards and a touchdown over his last two games. Anthony Averett filled in for Peters last week and allowed three completions, none longer than 12 yards.

- The DL was delivered a blow with the loss of DT Quinnen Williams. He is #1 on the team in sacks with 8, doubling the 2nd most, and has generated the 2nd most pressures on the defense. Nathan Shepherd will be taking his place and only has 5 pressures with 2 sacks on 119 pass rush snaps.
- UFA CB Javelin Guidry, who started the last 2 games, is out and is a loss to a bad secondary. He was the top coverage CB remaining on the roster, posting an impressive 76.3 PFF grade. Rookies Bryce Hall and Lamar Jackson go back to the starting duo and both have been terrible, posting 59.5 and 42.7 grades.

- The Eagles did not hold a Friday practice, but the return of Darius Slay is a huge help for a secondary already down two starters. Slay will replace Kevon Seymour, who is out with a knee injury after filling in for Slay the past two weeks.
- The Eagles also activated WR Desean Jackson from the IR. Jackson has played just four games this season, but did receive at least four targets in each contest, albeit with Carson Wentz at quarterback. With the increased role of Jalen Reagor in the Eagles offense, Jackson may be used in a smaller role in an effort to keep him healthy.

- The Cowboys are thin up the middle on defense with Leighton Vander Esch, Antwaun Woods and Xavier Woods all out on Sunday. The Eagles run a lot of two tight end sets in their offense, but the Cowboys have been great all season defending tight ends, allowing less than 30 yards a game to the position over the last two months. However, Dallas's poor run defense should be even worse without Vander Esch. Sean Lee's run defense grade on PFF ranks last on the team and last among all linebackers in the NFL.
