Quarterback
Matthew Stafford (TRUST): Stafford did post a QB4 (21.9 points) scoring week last week, but he did not do a lot to alleviate any short-term concerns about his play, health, and offensive line quality against Green Bay. Stafford was able to connect on two deep balls to carry his totals, but he completed a season-low 55.3% of his passes. He was also pressured on another 37.5% of his dropbacks, the seventh-highest rate of Week 12. Under pressure, he was 5-of-13 passing (with two touchdowns at least) and over the past three games, Stafford is 11-of-31 passing (35.5%).
The Jaguars have shown they can get pressure on the quarterback (12th in pressure rate), but they are 26th in sack rate (5.0%) and dead last in the NFL with just six takeaways this season.
This should be a good get-right spot for this offense and Vegas seems to believe so as well. Jacksonville is 31st in the NFL in completion rate (71.3%) and 29th in yards allowed per pass attempt (7.9 Y/A). Their one saving grace is that they have allowed just a 3.9% touchdown rate (eighth) and no passers have thrown more than two touchdowns against them this season, which is pretty fortunate given their other peripherals defensively versus the pass.
