  • The Giants are 0-6 against teams with a winning record this season, one of three teams (Falcons and Lions) in the league without a win against a team with a winning record right now.
  • The Giants are the only team in the league that has not had a home game go over the game total (0-5-1).
  • Dallas is fourth in the league in yards per play on first and second down (6.0 yards) while the Giants are 30th (4.9 yards).
  • Dallas is first in the league in third down conversion rate allowed defensively (30.9%).
  • Dallas is allowing 7.1 red zone plays per game, third in the league.
  • The Giants are allowing 11.8 red zone plays per game, 31st in the league.
  • The Giants are 24th in the league in scoring plays per game (3.5) while 45.7% of their scoring plays have been touchdowns, last in the league.

Quarterback

Dak Prescott: Prescott has been in a funk since returning from this calf injury in Week 9. Over that span, Prescott is 26th in the league in EPA per play (-0.023) and 27th in completion rate above expectation (-3.4%) after ranking ninth (0.227) and fourth (+7.6%) prior. Prescott has now been the QB23 or lower in three of his past four starts, but we have still seen there is a ceiling here as Prescott has QB2 (26.3 points) and QB3 (25.3) scoring weeks since coming back as well.

Not just using the calf injury as an out paired with poor play, the Cowboys have pushed a number of starters in and out of the lineup across the offensive line and at wide receiver over that span while their running game has all but evaporated. Tyron Smith suffered another injury last weekend and will miss Week 15.

As bad as it has gone of late, Prescott is tough to outright give up on. Especially with one of the highest team totals against the Giants. New York is 20th in passing points allowed per game (15.3) and 22nd in completion rate allowed to opposing passers (67.1%), The Giants have allowed a QB1 scorer in three of their past four games while Prescott threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns when these teams met in Week 5. As poor as Prescott has played of late, I would be willing to give him another start here before outright looking stream for him.
