Quarterback
Trevor Lawrence: Lawrence has only managed 10.6 and 12.4 passing points the past two weeks with just one total touchdown pass, but he managed back-to-back top-five scoring weeks on the strength of three rushing touchdowns. Lawrence only had two rushing touchdowns as a rookie after 18 over three years at Clemson.
It hasn’t always been pretty, but Lawrence has now registered a QB1 scoring week in four of his past six games played.
This will be a tough spot to bank on Lawrence extending that QB1 scoring streak. Denver is allowing a league-low 8.5 passing points per game and have allowed just three passing touchdowns all season. Lawrence has faced two other defenses that are in the top 12 in passing points allowed (Philadelphia and Houston) and closed those weeks as the QB31 and QB22. No quarterback has finished higher than QB15 against Denver with just one finishing higher than QB24.
I would bet on Lawrence being higher than that QB24 benchmark but would still treat him as more of a 2QB option than someone I would lean on in 1QB formats.
