Quarterback
Derek Carr (TRUST): Carr played a solid game last week, completing 21-of-27 passes for 241 yards (8.9 Y/A) with a touchdown, but he was limited to a QB15 scoring week (13.5 points) due to Josh Jacobs soaking up all of the touchdowns on the ground.
Carr has finished in the back half of weekly scoring just twice this season through six games, but also inside of the top 10 just once. He has lived in that QB10-QB15 range.
He will try to access more of a ceiling this week against a New Orleans defense that has allowed three straight top-10 scorers. The Saints are one of the more disappointing units of the season. They are dead last in the league in pressure rate (21.2%), allowing 7.3 yards per pass attempt (20th), 11.7 yards per completion (24th), a 4.5% touchdown rate (23rd), and 0.47 passing points per attempt (27th) this season.
We will see if the Saints can at least get Marshon Lattimore back on the field this week, but Carr is set up to be one of the better back-end QB1 options on the week.
