Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes: Mahomes wasn’t squeaky clean last week as he threw three interceptions that kept Denver in the game, but he still threw for 352 yards, 8.4 yards per pass attempt, and three touchdowns against what was the top-rated pass defense in the league coming into last week.

Mahomes has now been a QB1 in every game but one this season and the one week in which was not a top-12 scorer, he finished as the QB13. Entering the final four games of the season, Mahomes leads the NFL in passing yardage (320.0 yards per game) and 33 passing touchdowns.

Mahomes will look to stay hot as a QB1 against a Houston defense that has only allowed two QB1 scoring weeks all season due to opposing pass volume and failure to keep running backs out of the end zone.

To give Houston a bit of credit for themselves, they are second in the NFL in pressure rate (36.3%) and first in the league in pressure rate (42.7% of dropbacks) since Week 7. Over that same period, however, they are still allowing 7.8 yards per pass attempt (29th), they have faced just 26.2 attempts per game, the fewest in the league.
