Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

I will go through the players I am targeting as the tournament plays for all formats and will cover core players and games to target for stacks in other posts.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Week 4 DFS Content:

It is not that all tournament players cannot be used in cash games. If a player here works out for your team structure in cash games surrounding your primary core, use them.

These are just the players that come with some element of inherent risk but are the primary players that I still want to be ahead of the field on compared to the percentage of rosters they are projected to make this weekend.

Our Week 3 tournament plays were scattershot compared to the first two weeks of the season, but the ones that were a hit (namely Raheem Mostert) carried us to cash lines.

I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 4 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.

Quarterback

Joe Burrow ($6,500 DraftKings/$7,200 FanDuel)

Unsure about his status heading into Monday Night, Burrow was not only able to play, but the Bengals had him drop back to pass 50 times.

98.0% of their passing plays were out of the shotgun. 64.0% of Burrow’s throws were within 2.5 seconds to work around the injury.

If he were 100% healthy this week, this would be a trusted spot. Even with Burrow not fully healthy, it is a matchup that should provide the Cincinnati passing game a boost.

The Titans have once again shut down the run but continue to struggle to defend the pass.

Tennessee is allowing a 71.9% completion rate (28th), 8.4 yards per pass attempt (29th), 11.7 yards per completion (28th), a 4.7% touchdown rate (25th), and 18.7 passing points for fantasy per game (27th).

The Tennessee pass defense was just an elixir for Deshaun Watson after a subpar start to the season. We are looking for the same thing here.
