Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

I will go through the players I am targeting as the tournament plays for all formats and will cover core players and games to target for stacks in other posts.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Week 6 DFS Content:

It is not that all tournament players cannot be used in cash games. If a player here works out for your team structure in cash games surrounding your primary core, use them.

These are just the players that come with some element of inherent risk but are the primary players that I still want to be ahead of the field on compared to the percentage of rosters they are projected to make this weekend.

I will have some analysis on the player selections and game writeups, but check out the Week 6 Worksheet for a fully detailed breakdown of the players and games.

Quarterback

Justin Fields ($7,300 DraftKings/$8,500 FanDuel)

After closing the opening three weeks out as QB16, QB21, and QB24, Fields has rebounded with spike weeks as QB4 and QB1.

Fields run into another solid matchup to stay hot as a front-end QB1 if the weather is not an issue in capping upside.

Minnesota blitzes at the league’s highest rate (55.0%).

We have brought this up before, but Fields has been strong against the blitz over his career.

This season, Fields is averaging 8.3 yards per pass attempt with four touchdowns and one interception when blitzed.

For his career, he has a 7.4% touchdown rate against the blitz as opposed to a 3.6% touchdown rate when he has not been blitzed.

When he has been blitzed and not been pressured, he has a 9.0% touchdown rate.

Minnesota has been a soft target regardless of those splits.

They are allowing a 76.3% completion rate (31st) and a 4.5% touchdown rate (24th) to opposing passers.

Every quarterback to face Minnesota has been a QB1 performer except for Bryce Young.
