Quarterback

Russell Wilson: Up until last week, Wilson had played relatively well and was the least of Denver’s early-season issues.

That was thrown out of the window against the Chiefs as Wilson was 13-of-22 for just 95 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Those 95 passing yards were the third-lowest total for Wilson in a game over his career and his fewest in a game since 2018.

Wilson had been a QB1 in four of his first five games, and we have been talking about the Kansas City defense being underrated all season, so we will not completely run and hide… but that quickly gave gamers flashbacks to Wilson’s 2022 season.

Wilson will look to bounce back against a Green Bay defense that has held each of the past three quarterbacks they have faced below their average point total entering the matchup.

That includes Jared Goff, who scored 6.9 points below his average entering the matchup.

The Packers have not faced a wealth of strong quarterbacks, but the most passing yards they have allowed in a game is 237. They have not allowed multiple passing touchdowns in a game yet this season.

Green Bay is fifth in the league in terms of pressure rate (39.8%), and they are blitzing at the second-highest rate in the league (38.9%).

Wilson has been solid when pressured, averaging 6.9 yards per pass attempt (eighth) with a 94.3 rating (third).

But when blitzed, Wilson has the lowest passer rating in the league at 50.6. Against the blitz, he is 21-of-36 (58.3%) for 199 yards (5.5 Y/A) with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

Wilson is more of a QB2 here.
