He has been a QB1 scorer in four of his six games, but Mahomes has just one top-five scoring week on the season and has not paced the position yet in scoring in a given week.
The Kansas City offense has fallen short against Denver and Minnesota the past two weeks, but they get another soft matchup to attack this week.
The Chargers have allowed the highest-scoring quarterback twice through five games to Tua Tagovailoa and Dak Prescott and have allowed another top-five scoring week to Kirk Cousins.
They are allowing 8.5 yards per pass attempt (31st) and 17.9 passing points per game (30th).
Mahomes has averaged 24.3 fantasy points per game over his four matchups with the Chargers since Brandon Staley has been there, throwing multiple passing touchdowns in all four games, including at least three passing touchdowns in three of those games.
