Quarterback
Zach Wilson: We always highlight being able to handle the blitz against the Giants since they are second in the NFL in blitz rate (41.8%).
Wilson has been blitzed on only 25.1% of his dropbacks (18th), but when he has been blitzed, Wilson averaged more yards per pass attempt (7.8 Y/A) than when he has not been blitzed (5.4 Y/A).
When the blitz has created pressure, he is 8-of-17 (47.1%) for 86 yards (5.1 Y/A).
When the blitz has not generated pressure, Wilson has been strong, completing 19-of-28 passes for (67.9%) for 9.5 yards per pass attempt (third in the NFL) with two touchdowns and an interception.
Wilson has yet to register a QB1 scoring week on the season, so we will not be getting to him as more than a back-end QB2 on a full slate of games, but there is at least a carrot for those who want to pursue this matchup in those formats.
The Giants have not allowed a QB1 scorer since Week 3, facing Geno Smith, Tua Tagovailoa, Josh Allen, and Sam Howell over that stretch.
