NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.

Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.

The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.

When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.

The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.

Slate Breakdown

The Tennessee Titans are heading to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers as 2.5-point underdogs. The total is set at 36.5.

Will Levis draws his second start, and it appears as if he will have his top target DeAndre Hopkins available. He and Hopkins connected four times resulting in three touchdowns last week.

The Steelers will have Kenny Pickett available after he left last week due to injury. This bodes well for both Diontae Johnson and George Pickens, who are both fairly priced.

Injury Notes

Ryan Tannehill – Ankle – Out
DeAndre Hopkins – Toe – Expected to play

Tennessee Titans Offense

Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:

Derrick Henry $11,600 –

Henry is not handling the same workload we have grown accustomed to, but he’s still got the upside to receive 30 opportunities. His price and role fit well for Steelers heavy builds.

DeAndre Hopkins $11,200 –

Hopkins had an incredible first showing with Will Levis, but he only caught four passes on six targets. Three of them happened to go for touchdowns en route to a 128-yard performance. While there’s no doubt Hopkins can do well again, we should not expect quite the blow-up he had last week. Henry projects slightly better in this price range and makes more sense considering it will be tough to include Levis in Pittsburgh builds.
