Quarterback

Sam Howell: Howell had been flirting with disaster for a while for fantasy, living through frivolous volume and surviving on rushing touchdowns that were unsustainable for his rushing profile.

That has all come to a head.

Over the past two games, his volume has dried, throwing 23 and 26 passes.

He did rush for 22 yards on Sunday, but without a touchdown, his floor was exposed.

Howell is averaging 6.8 passing points per game over his past four starts after averaging 16.1 passing points per game.

He has thrown for fewer than 7.0 yards per pass attempt in each of his past four starts while completing just 52.2% and 42.3% of his passes in his past two games.

He was also yanked in the fourth quarter last week for Jacoby Brissett, meaning that he now has to look over his shoulder the next he struggles or turns the ball over.

Howell is now facing a Jets defense that is second in the league in passing points allowed per game (10.1) and has allowed one QB1 scorer since their Week 7 bye.
