Quarterback
Drake Maye: After back-to-back QB1 scoring weeks in his first two career starts, Maye has operated as a QB2 the past two weeks, ending as the QB20 and QB15.
Maye has shown some rookie volatility, posting a 6.3% rate of turnover-worthy plays as a starter (the highest in the league).
Still, he has added upside in an unusable situation for fantasy prior and is a viable QB2 for fantasy.
Maye has rushed for 44.2 yards per game in his starts.
He has 11 completions of 20 or more yards on 150 attempts while Jacoby Brissett only had 7 on his 159 attempts.
The Rams have made a significant defensive turnaround.
They have allowed only one QB1 scorer over their past six games.
Over that span, they are third in the NFL in pressure rate (39.7%).
When they have pressured the quarterback over that span, they have allowed a 45.8% completion rate (11th), 6.4 yards per attempt (19th), and a league-low 48.6 rating.
But they are still vulnerable when they have not gotten to the quarterback.
Without pressure over that span, the Rams have allowed a 70.2% completion rate (17th), 8.4 Y/A (27th) and 101.9 rating (20th).
When Maye has been pressured, he has completed 47.6% of his passes (22nd) for 5.1 Y/A (27th).
If the Rams do pressure Maye, look for him to run.
Maye's scramble rate is 12.4% (second in the league), but it spikes to 20% when pressured.
Matthew Stafford: After back-to-back strong fantasy games and getting back into our good graces, Stafford struggled on Monday night.
He completed 32 passes (his most since Week 1), but his 6.4 yards per pass attempt were his fewest in a game with both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp available this season.
Stafford failed to throw a touchdown pass for the fourth time this season and added an interception.
It was his sixth straight game throwing an interception.
Stafford was only 2 of 7 in the red zone, which led to his fourth game this season with single-digit fantasy points.
Stafford has now completed a league-low 39.1% of his red zone passes.
Despite last week's disappointing game, Stafford is a floor-based QB2 with added upside if he can get the ball into the end zone.
New England does not have anything scary in their peripherals.
They are 25th in pressure rate (30.7%).
They sit 17th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.425) and 21st in yards allowed per pass attempt (7.2).
Before running into Caleb Williams and the anemic Chicago offense last week, the Patriots had allowed Mason Rudolph and Aaron Rodgers over 17 fantasy points in their two previous games.
