Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is in my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Best Game Stacks

One of my favorite ways to play DFS from a tournament stance is small-field, single-to-five-max entry games with 5K or smaller fields.

Both sites even offer these games with fewer than 100 entries (albeit at a higher cost of entry) if you want to go after a small field.

In these contests, my approach is to go with full-game stacks.

You lose a lot of weeks, but if you get the game right, you gain a big advantage.

Cashing in one of these over an 18-week season can make your entire year.

With the reduced number of entries, you can also eat some chalky game stacks because we are going further in the overall game stack than our opponents likely will.

These are the games I am circling for those tournaments in Week 16, but you can also tie these games into your stacks for other tournaments.

I will analyze the player selections and game writeups, but for a detailed breakdown of the players and games, check out the Week 16 Worksheet.

Lions at Bears

This is the highest total on Sunday (48 points) outside of Sunday Night Football.

The Lions average 2.95 points per drive, second in the league behind Buffalo.

The Bears are a wildcard, but they have played better at home.

Chicago averages 2.10 points per drive at home (16th) compared to a league-low 1.26 points per drive on the road

Detroit is also dealing with a plethora of defensive injuries.

When these teams last played on Thanksgiving, Chicago put together a strong second half to provide some hope that they could push Detroit offensively.

We are getting the “Outdoor Jared Goff” narrative this weekend, but it should be more concerning that he has not played well against the Bears indoors or outdoors over the past two seasons.

That said, we only push for this game to hit when over-stacking.

Goff has shown spike-week potential, but the true gem is building around Jahmyr Gibbs.

Playing Goff with Gibbs is one way to have a different lineup with Gibbs in it.

Sam LaPorta is my favorite pass catcher on the Detroit side of this game for tournament builds, but you always can play Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams with Goff.

Even if you avoid the Goff side, the Chicago side has many cheaper options for attaching to Gibbs.

You can even avoid the Caleb Williams side, but he does have some intrigue through rushing and delivering a top-six scoring week the last time these teams played.

D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen are the standout options on the Chicago side.

Moore caught 8-of-16 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown when these teams played in Week 13.

Detroit did not have Carlton Davis, who is also out this weekend.

Detroit has allowed a league-high 6.5 receptions per game to slot receivers including a 5-73-2 line to Allen in Week 13.
