Not every NFL draft pick is valued equally and the total number of draft picks a team has only provides so much information.
The below interactive chart takes a look at historical draft capital and value for each NFL team from 1999-2022 and where that ranked for all NFL teams that season.
What is NFL Draft Pick Value?
- The draft pick value metric is a valuation of draft capital based on a combination of average performance delivered and average dollars earned on second contracts.
- This is based on two public models: performance based on draft slot (the AV model created by Chase Stuart) and contractual earnings in non-rookie deals based upon draft slot (the OTC model created by Brady Spielberger and Jason Fitzgerald).
- Comp pick distribution estimated using Nick Korte's projections at OTC.
