Week 15 has arrived and with it comes NFL football on a Saturday. With just three weeks left and only four of the 14 playoff slots determined, things are tighter than ever.

Here's a game-by-game breakdown of the key players who could be absent in this weekend's action:

Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos, (Sat.) 4:30 PM

  • The Bills were hopeful to get back WR John Brown, but he won’t be able to play Saturday. Otherwise, this is a healthy Bills team right now.

Injured Reserve: CB Kevin Toliver, knee; CB Duke Dawson, knee; CB Essang Bassey, knee; CB Bryce Callahan, foot; TE Albert Okwuegbunam, knee; DT Mike Purcell, foot; DT Jurrell Casey, biceps; LB Von Miller, ankle; WR Courtland Sutton, knee.

  • CB Bryce Callahan was lost for the season in Week 12. Callahan’s replacement, Essang Bassey, tore his ACL and A.J. Bouye was suspended in Week 13. Callahan has ranked #1 or #2 in most all CB metrics and has been PFF’s 2nd highest graded coverage CB this season. Bouye and Bassey have struggled this season, grading out as the 84 and 97th ranked coverage CB by PFF. And this past week, the Broncos lost CBs Duke Dawson and Kevin Toliver to torn ACLs. That’s five cornerbacks lost in just three weeks.
  • Denver doesn’t have much to work with at cornerback now, with rookie Michael Ojemudia (PFF pass grade rank 90th out of 126 CBs, 104th in ypa allowed), De’Vante Bausby (four career starts +118 career QB rating allowed), and Nate Hairston (signed this week) representing their best options. Will Parks has also resigned with Denver after being cut by the Eagles, but most of his experience is at safety.
  • Denver will be without Kicker Brandon McManus on Saturday.
  • Both Broncos RBs Philip Lindsay and Melvin Gordon are questionable but both are expected to play. Guard Graham Glasgow is questionable. Glasgow is 45th out of 95 Guards in pass blocking grade and 17th in run blocking. His backup Netane Muti started last week and allowed 3 pressures on 31 pass block snaps with a poor 40.3 pass block grade.

  • Not surprising but RB Christian McCaffery will miss another game on Saturday.
  • Something to keep an eye on is the status of LT Russell Okung who is questionable with a calf injury. He has graded out as the 17th best pass blocking tackle and has allowed only 3 sacks this season. If he can’t go, Trent Scott will fill in and he has played ok in 8 games this season, posting a 64 pass blocking grade and a 66 run blocking grade. He has allowed 1 sack on 146 pass block snaps.
  • The Panthers offense will welcome back WR DJ Moore who missed last week’s game while on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
  • Starting Safety Tre Boston has been limited this week and is questionable. He has been poor in pass coverage with a pass coverage grade of 44.7, ranking 51 out of 56 Safeties.

  • The carousel at right tackle could spin again for the Seahawks if Brandon Shell is inactive. Shell, a game-time decision was replaced by Cedric Ogbuehi in Week 12, but Ogbuehi injured his calf and was replaced by Jamarco Jones. Jones is out with a groin injury and was replaced by Shell last week. Now, if Shell is out again, Ogbuehi will start at right tackle against Washington's defense that scored two touchdowns last week.

  • The Washington offense will be without its quarterback and running back against Seattle on Sunday. Alex Smith will be replaced by Dwayne Haskins, who was Ron Rivera's third choice at quarterback, but will be pressed into action due to Kyle Allen being on the IR for the rest of the season. With Gibson and Smith out last week, the Football Team managed just 193 yards of offense and zero touchdowns.

  • Two key players in RB Ronald Jones and LT Donovan Smith will miss the game on Sunday because they are on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Look for Lesean McCoy and Leonard Fournette to take over the lead RB role. Smith grades out by PFF as the 48th ranked pass blocking and the 26th ranked run blocking tackle out of 91 NFL Tackles. He has allowed a 6% pressure rate, ranking 63rd among Tackles. Filling in will be seven year veteran Josh Wells. Wells has allowed only 4 sacks on nearly 600 pass block snaps in his career. Last season was clearly his worst as he allowed 14 pressures on only 128 pass blocking snaps with 3 sacks. He has only played 19 snaps at LT this season.

  • OL Kaleb McGary and James Carpenter who both missed last week’s game against the Chargers are questionable but at least one is widely expected to play if not both.

  • Left tackle Anthony Castonzo is questionable after suffering a knee injury late in Week 14. Castonzo was replaced by Chaz Green and LG Quenton Nelson. Castonzo's full participation is a good sign for the Colts, who desperately need him to play. His 82.3 pass-blocking grade ranks 9th among all NFL tackles this season.
  • In astounding news, P Rigoberto Sanchez is expected to play on Sunday, less than three weeks after having a cancerous tumor removed.

  • Out for Sunday include WR Deebo Samuel, RG Colton McKivitz and C Hroniss Grasu, who hasn’t played significant snaps since week 8. The Samuel loss is a big one for an offense that has struggled in recent weeks. Look for Richie James to hop back into the #2 role outside of Brandon Aiyuk.
  • McKivitz was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and is definitely out. He played all 83 snaps at RG last week he was filling in for Tom Compton who is out for the season and for Daniel Brunskill who slid over to center because of injuries at that position. Now who plays RG this Sunday is a big question mark.
  • Questionable players include RB Raheem Mostert, LB Fred Warner and CBs Emmanuel Moseley and K’waun Williams.

  • RB Ezekiel Elliott has been limited this week with a calf injury but should be ok Sunday according to Mike McCarthy.
  • Starting SS Xavier Woods is listed as questionable. He has been solid this season, grading out as the 21st ranked coverage Safety by PFF and has allowed the lowest yards per reception among all Safeties at only 6.1 yards. He’s also #2 on the Cowboys in tackles. Based on the team depth chart, 4th round rookie Reggie Robinson would likely receive snaps.

  • CB Buster Skrine will be out again and Jaylon Johnson (shoulder), Khalil Mack (shoulder) and Deon Bush (foot) did not practice Friday making all of them questionable. Feels like Mack has been on the injury list every week so odds are high he can play. Without Skrine and Johnson potentially out that leaves top CB Kyle Fuller on one side and Duke Shelley on the other side. Shelley is a 2019 6th round pick has only played 36 snaps in coverage and has allowed 5 of 6 targets to be caught for 50 yards this season. He played most of those snaps last week against Houston and is still an unknown.
  • TE Jimmy Graham is also questionable but he has been losing snaps to rookie Cole Kmet recently anyways.

Kendricks missed his second-straight game with a calf injury last week and Todd Davis filled in for the second-straight week. He was the Vikings’ worst-graded defender by PFF at 29.3 and was especially poor in coverage with a 28.2 coverage grade. Kendricks is the #2 graded coverage LB in the NFL and Davis 143rd.

  • Center Frank Ragnow will sit out on Sunday after fracturing his throat in Week 14. The former first-round pick hasn't missed a snap this season and his 80.5 overall grade on PFF ranks second among centers, behind Corey Linsley. Ragnow has not allowed a sack this year despite playing the fourth-most pass-blocking snaps at center. Joe Dahl lost his starting job earlier this year and could enter the lineup at guard, allowing rookie Jonah Jackson to slide over to center. Jackson has allowed 13 QB pressures in the last four games.
  • The Lions could also be without QB Matt Stafford, who is dealing with a rib injury. Stafford started every game for eight-straight seasons, but played just eight games in 2019 and could be replaced by Chase Daniel on Sunday if his ribs aren't healthy enough. Since 2018, Daniel has completed 68 percent of his passes and averaged 6.7 yards per attempt in 10 games (three starts).

Jackson started the year on the IR, but was prematurely activated and has been on the active roster since Week 12. Fulton made two starts in the slot before injuring his knee. Fulton allowed nine catches on 10 targets in those two starts for 86 yards and a touchdown. • Out Sunday include RT Jack Driscoll and CB Avonte Maddox. Driscoll was filling in for Lane Johnson who is out for the season. Driscoll has really struggled, allowing a 9% pressure rate which ranks bottom 5 among NFL Tackles. It looks like the Eagles are down to Matt Pryor at RT. Pryor has been bad as well allowing 23 pressures and 4 sacks on 369 pass block snaps (6.2% pressure rate). He has earned a 55.3 pass block grade and 59.6 run block grade this season. Maddox has been terrible in the secondary, grading as the 121st ranked CB in the NFL. He just hurts the depth for the Eagles based on additional secondary injuries.
  • Cornerbacks Darius Slay (concussion) Graylond Arnold (Hamstring) are both out. Slay is the Eagles best coverage CB among those that have played real snaps but he’s only 60th in the NFL in PFF coverage grade. Kevon Seymour filled in for Slay last week against New Orleans and S Jalen Mills could slide down to play his natural position.
  • The Eagles do get Rudy Ford back this week. Ford is among the best special teamers in football, ranking in the top-10 in special teams' tackles, despite playing only five games this season.

  • Jordan Phillips and Jalen Thompson have been absent the last few games already and it is never ideal to lose your kicker.
  • Justin Pugh and Chase Edmonds are the key potential losses on the offense. Edmonds has been an excellent change of pace RB and Pugh has been a mainstay in the interior of the Cards OL. Pugh has allowed the 3rd lowest pressure rate and is graded as the 9th best Guard in the NFL. Justin Murray would play if Pugh can’t go. He has graded out well this season posting a 75.8 PFF pass blocking grade this season on 226 pass block snaps.

Yasir Durant filled in for Remmers when he went down last week and struggled, allowing sack and another QB pressure in just 13 pass-blocking snaps. Fisher's back injury is a new one, but he didn't miss a snap last week and his full participation in Friday's practice is a good sign for this week.

Thomas has been out for ankle and hamstring injuries, as well as a team-issued suspension. Considering Brees's inability to push the ball down the field (NFL-worst 5.4 air yards per attempt), expect Alvin Kamara to get some extra targets in the screen game. Kamara averaged nearly 10 targets per game in the games Thomas missed earlier this season.
  • Rookie Cesar Ruiz will fill in for Nick Easton at right guard. He allowed just a single hurry in relief of Easton against the Eagles last week.

  • Guard Wyatt Teller will miss Sunday’s game. Teller has dominated in the trenches and is the #1 graded run blocking and overall Guard by PFF. • there is a question as to who starts at QB but it’s looking more likely that it will be Colt McCoy who started in their victory in seattle in week 13.
  • Star CB James Bradbury will miss Sunday nights game and is a big blow to the Giants defense. He is graded as the 8th best coverage CB by PFF. Isaac Yiadom will have to step up as the new #1. He has a poor 51 coverage grade and has allowed 4 TDs and a 123.1 QB rating in coverage this season.
