Week 7 got off with a bang last night with a NFC East thriller, but some teams are struggling to make it to the halfway point of the 2020 NFL Season.
The Las Vegas Raiders sent four of their offensive linemen home while they await COVID-19 tests, resulting in them missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Here's a breakdown of this week's injury reports:

- It seems impossible for this ravaged Dallas OL to get beat up any more but that’s where we are this week and they could have 5 OL that were not starters prior to the season. The best remaining OL for Dallas, RG Zack Martin, has not practiced this week and is out for Sunday. In addition, backup LT Brandon Knight, who has filled in for starter Tyron Smith, is out Sunday with knee surgery. Martin is perennially one of if not the best Guard in the NFL and has allowed a 3.4% pressure rate, which ranks in the top third of the NFL among Guards. He has also graded out as the 21st best pass blocking Guard and 2nd best as a run blocker. He has been graded as a top 7 run blocker by PFF for 5 straight seasons. Filling in for Martin would be 2nd year man Connor McGovern, who is a dramatic drop off as a run blocker. McGovern has played 84 snaps this season and has produced a 49.8 run block grade, good for 94th out of 112 Guards this season. He has only allowed 2 pressures, 1 sack on 60 pass block snaps this season.
- Knight, has performed in line with an average NFL tackle as a pass blocker allowing a 5.4% pressure rate this season. However, he has really struggled as a run blocker, grading out as 3rd worst among all Tackles this season. Expected to take over for Knight would be veteran Cam Erving, who hasn’t played a snap this season. Erving has been atrocious throughout his career and has not posted a single run block grade above 49 or a pass block grade above 57 in his career. Last year with Kansas City was the first time Erving played exclusively at LT and produced a horrific 35.5 run block grade, ranking dead last among 88 NFL Tackles. His pass blocking last season ranked 78th among Tackles. He allowed a 6.3% pressure rate and 5 sacks on 410 pass block snaps.

Veteran backup Wes Schweitzer will step in and in 303 snaps this season has allowed a solid 4.8% pressure rate and 0 sacks on 208 pass block snaps. LT Geron Christian has not practiced this week and may not play Sunday. Christian has not played well and has allowed a 9.1% pressure rate, 69th out of 72 Tackles. He has allowed 6 sacks, most in the NFL.

- Left Tackle Bakhatiari left last week’s game against Tampa with a chest injury and may not play Sunday. He has been great so far this year, posting the 6th lowest pressure rate (2.7%) among Tackles and top 5 in both run and pass blocking grades by PFF. He hasn’t allowed a single sack or QB hit this season. The good news is that the Packers have a solid veteran backup in Rick Wagner, who has allowed only 1 sack and 3 pressures on 77 pass block snaps (3.9%) this season. In his career, Wagner has allowed a 5.9% pressure rate but has consistently posted a pass blocking grade of at least 75.0 in 3 of the last 4 seasons. The biggest drawback is that Wagner has almost exclusively played at RT in his career, with 26 of his 27 career snaps at LT occurring this season in place of Bakhatiari.
- Out of nowhere start RB Aaron Jones hurt his calf and is a game time decision. This is too bad as he has a juicy matchup against a Texans defense that ranks 28th in DVOA run defense, is dead last in adjusted defensive line yards allowed and has allowed the third highest percentage of explosive run plays in the NFL. Jones ranks 12th in DVOA and 7th in success rate among qualified RBs this season. Jamal Williams would take over lead RB duties if Jones can’t go. Williams is averaging 4.3 ypc and has a league average DVOA rating this season. Last year he produced the 7th highest success rate in the NFL at 53%.
- Starting Safety Darnell Savage is out on Sunday. Savage has struggled in most categories this season after playing really well in coverage last year in his rookie season. This year he has allowed 5 of 7 targets to be caught for 91 yards and 1 TD. His QB rating of 153.8 ranks dead last among 86 Safeties this year but clearly it’s a small sample. Last year he ranked. Last year he only allowed a 60% completion rate and his QB rating allowed ranked in the top half of Safeties. Filling in for Savage would be 3rd year man Raven Greene. Greene has only played 152 coverage snaps in his career and has allowed 12 of 15 targets to be caught while in coverage for 98 yards and 0 TDs. He has allowed a respectable 93.9 QB rating. This season he has allowed 8 of 9 targets to be caught for 84 yards and a 105.6 rating.

- Linebacker Devin Bush tore his ACL on Sunday and will miss the remainder of 2020. Career special-teamer Robert Spillane filled in for Bush on Sunday, playing the remaining 30 defensive snaps after playing just one defensive snap in the first two years of his career. Spillane is a 2nd year undrafted FA from Western Michigan. Bush is the Steelers leading tackler and ranks 2nd with 13 run stops. He hasn’t graded out very well in his two seasons so far by PFF but is clearly an important piece in the middle of this defense. He has allowed only 12 receptions on 21 targets for 106 yards and a 86 QB rating allowed while in coverage.
- Slot CB Mike Hilton is out for Sunday. While he hasn’t been great in coverage from the slot, allowing the 5th most yards per snap he has been tremendous on blitzes. He is #1 in pressures and tied for 1st in sacks among CBs with 3.

- The Titans suffered a big blow when LT Taylor Lewan suffered a torn ACL on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the 2020 season. Veteran Ty Sambrailo will replace Lewan, has allowed two sacks and five pressures in 69 pass-blocking snaps this season, for a poor 7.2% pressure rate allowed. In his six-year career, Sambrailo never posted a PFF grade over 66.6. He has mainly played RT in his career outside of one season in 2015 when he played 215 snaps at LT in Denver. In that season he allowed a 6.4% pressure rate. For his career he has allowed a very poor 8.7% pressure rate, with mediocre run blocking grades. Lewan hasn’t played up to his normal self this season, allowing 8 pressures and a 6.1% pressure rate although he hasn’t allowed a sack yet. He only allowed 12 pressures for the entirety of last season and only 2 sacks. He graded out as a top 11 pass and run blocker last season but this year he currently ranks 64th as a pass blocker and 45th as a run blocker among Tackles.

- Guard Wyatt Teller, PFF’s #1 rated Guard, missed last week’s game and may miss Sunday’s game as well. Backup Chris Hubbard struggled against the Steelers defense, allowing 4 pressures last week.
- Safety Ronnie Harrison is expected to play this week after missing last week’s game. The Safety position is a problem spot in general for the Browns but Harrison is clearly the best option for them.
- TE Austin Hooper will miss this game with an appendectomy. Rookie Harrison Bryant and veteran David Njoku will play the majority of snaps at TE.

- A couple of huge injuries to RB Joe Mixon and CB William Jackson will impact their game against the Browns. Mixon will be replaced by veteran Gio Bernard and Trayveon Williams. Mixon hasn’t been great this season but had been coming on of late. He ranks 30th in success rate and 32nd in DVOA but he hasn’t received much help from an OL that is 29th in adjusted line yards.
- William Jackson is going to be a tough player to replace on defense. He is clearly the Bengals best coverage CB, allowing a QB rating that ranks 35th among all NFL CBs and has only allowed a 56% completion percentage and a 6.1 ypa in coverage, both ranking in the top 22 in the NFL. Jackson’s 75.1 coverage grade is by far the best among Cincinnati CBs. Slot CB Mackensie Alexander grades out at 63 but should stay inside. Expect LeShaun Sims and Darius Philips to take over outside. Neither has played well this season with Sims posting a 55.3 coverage grade and Philips 46.5. Combined they have allowed a 63% completion percentage in coverage with a 13.9 yards per reception and 4 TDs. Sims’ 121 QB rating allowed ranks 100th out of 121 NFL CBs.

- The Panthers are dealing with lots of injuries to their secondary as starting CB Rasul Douglas is out and Donte Jackson and Eli Apple are both questionable. Add in to the fact that starting Safety Justin Burris is on IR and a lot of shuffling needs to take place in that secondary. Douglas has been tremendous, grading out as the 17th best CB by PFF. Jackson has been just as good, grading out as the 20th best CB in the NFL. Apple has yet to play a snap this season but this would be as good a time as ever. The Panthers will have to turn to Corn Elder and Troy Pride Jr. Elder has been solid this season, grading out as the 2nd best CB on the Panthers and allowing only 8 of 14 targets for 51 yards and 2 pass break ups. Pride, on the other hand, is a rookie from Notre Dame who has really struggled, allowing 11 of 14 targets to be caught for 183 yards and 2 TDs. His pass coverage grade of 39.5 ranks 113 out 120 CBs.
- Guard John Miller is questionable and has played solid football this season, ranking 18th in pressure rate and grading as the 34th ranked Guard. He has taken every snap at RG for the Panthers this year. Dennis Daley is an option for right guard if Miller is unable to play. The 2019 sixth-round pick was in position for a starting role before suffering an ankle injury late in training camp. He's now healthy and ready to play full speed. Daley allowed a very high 11% pressure rate with 8 sacks last season.

- Buffalo is dealing with multiple impactful injuries with WR John Brown and CB Josh Norman ruled out while CB Tre'Davious White and LB Matt Milano questionable. Norman hasn’t been good in coverage this season, allowing an 82% completion percentage and a 121.1 QB rating. But considering the Bills already lost Levi Wallace to the IR a few weeks ago and White is questionable, their depth really takes a major hit. This leaves Taron Johnson, Cameron Lewis and Siran Neal at CB. Lewis is a 2nd year UFA who has barely seen the field this season and Neal played 123 coverage snaps last season and allowed 72% completions but only 4.9 yards per reception and minimal yac. Johnson has been awful this year and out of 111 CBs has graded out as the 107th in pass coverage grade while allowing an 82% completion percentage. As bad as the Jets offense has played this year they will have a shot to make some plays down the field considering these injuries and the fact that the Bills rank dead last in pressure rate.

- The good news for the Jets is that Sam Darnold is back on Sunday. The bad news is that the OL is really beat up. There is a question as to who will suit up Sunday as LT Mekhi Becton, T George Fant and T Chuma Edoga are all Questionable. They were all limited on Friday but Fant didn't practice. Guard Alex Lewis is out this week. Edoga has been a dominant run blocker and overall Edoga, Lewis and Becton are the highest graded OL on the Jets. It’s really hard to figure out all these potential moving pieces so I won’t try and predict what their OL will look like. All we know is that Lewis is definitely out.
- The Jets best weapon, Jameson Crowder, is questionable with a bad groin but is expected to play. Braxton Berrios would take over the slot role if Crowder can’t go.

- A major Covid scare has hit the Raiders, especially on the OL. LT Trent Brown will miss the game and the rest of the OL was sent home as a precaution. Who knows which if any OL will miss the game on Sunday but needless to say not ideal to be playing without any practice for the week.
- Otherwise starting Safety Jonathan Abram will not play Sunday due to Covid. Abram has struggled this season, posting a poor 46.3 PFF grade with 7 missed tackles. Steady veteran Jeff Heath will start in his place. This will not be a dropoff for the Raiders.
- Rookie WR Bryan Edwards will not play as well but with speedster Henry Ruggs back, Edwards’ absence shouldn’t be a problem.

- Starting C Ben Garland and RB Raheem Mostert landed on IR after injuries in last week’s game. In addition, both starting Safeties Jimmie Ward and Jaquiski Tartt are out as well. LT Trent Williams has been limited but Kyle Shanahan expects him to play Sunday.
- Garland is a loss for a Niners team that needs stability upfront for Jimmy Garropolo. Garland has allowed a league average pressure rate for Centers but has been tremendous as a run blocker, grading out as 9th best among Centers this season. Journeyman Hroniss Grasu will start at Center. He hasn’t seen significant action since 2017, where he really struggled with the Bears. He graded out as the 2nd worst run blocker and 4th worst pass blocker among Centers that season. He allowed 12 pressures on 181 pass blocking snaps that season.
- Taking over for Mostert will be rookie Jamycal Hasty and Jerick McKinnon. McKinnon got a pair of starts earlier in the year when Mostert was out.
- Marcell Harris will start in place of Tartt. Tarvarius Moore would be next up into the starting lineup in place of Ward or they could elevate veteran safety Johnathan Cyprien from the practice squad. Tartt and Ward have started and played in all six games together this season and are known are excellent tacklers. Harris has posted poor sub 39 PFF tackling grades in all three of his seasons and last year allowed 73% completion percentage and 127.8 QB rating while in coverage. Moore has played solid football in a limited role the last three seasons, allowing a 55% completion percentage and an 87 QB rating in his career in coverage.

- The biggest potential impact on the Patriots injury report would come in the way of losing Guard Shaq Mason again after missing last week’s game. Mason is the 5th best Guard according to PFF and really excels in the run game. He has produced a PFF run block grade of at least 72 in every season and an 80+ grade in three of the last four full seasons. With a struggling offense, it’s important for the Pats to have every key blocker up front to pave the way in the run game. Last week without Mason, the Pats RBs could only run for 41 yards on 15 carries.

- Myles Jack will miss Sunday's game after being limited in the past two weeks with an ankle injury. Despite the ailment, Jack still is PFF's highest-rated linebacker in 2020. Quincy Williams saw his first action of 2020 after Jack exited last week. The former third-round pick made eight starts for Jacksonville a year ago.
- The Jaguars lost Abry Jones to the IR with an ankle injury, but his loss shouldn't be too substantial. The DT had zero quarterback pressures in 77 opportunities this season.
- Jarrod Wilson has been PFF”s fourth-best safety this season, but he will miss Sunday's game after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 6. Andrew Wingard will get the start in his place and has played well in limited snaps, posting a PFF grade of 72.9 in three starts.

- The Chargers offensive line is banged up with Trai Turner out and Bryan Bulaga is currently questionable. Reserve tackle Storm Norton is doubtful and Mike Pouncey has been on the IR all season with a hip issue. Veteran Ryan Groy has been starting for LA since Turner went down in Week 2. Groy has settled down in pass protection after allowing six pressures in Week 3, but has struggled run-blocking, earning a PFF run-blocking grade of 37.5 in Week 5.

- The loss of Mitchell Schwartz will be a big one for Kansas City. The right tackle has excelled in pass protection this year, allowing just two pressures in the Chiefs' last four games. Veteran guard Mike Remmers replaced Schwartz last week and should start at right tackle against Denver. Remmers allowed two pressures in Week 6.

- Seattle will be without Jamal Adams for the third-straight game. Pete Carroll seemed optimistic the safety would be ready to go following the Seahawks bye week, but Adams did not participate at all in practice this week. The former Jet had two sacks in the first three weeks, but struggled in pass coverage, allowing nearly 14 yards per target. Replacement Ryan Neal has earned an overall defensive grade of 62.8 from PFF, but has allowed just 5.2 yards per target in pass coverage.
- Guard Mike Iupati was downgraded to out on Saturday. He's been excellent for SEA this season, with a top 18 grade in both run and pass blocking. He has the 15th best pressure rate allowed at Guard at only 2.9%. He has not allowed a sack this season. Jordan Simmons will fill in as he did in their last game against Minnesota. He has a 38.5 run block grade but has performed better as a pass blocker, allowing only 2 pressures on 110 dropbacks.

- The loss of Chandler Jones figured to be a big one, but the Arizona defense played well in Dallas last week, allowing just 10 points and forcing four turnovers. Former Temple Owl Haason Reddick started in Jones's place and notched two sacks and four total pressures in 36 opportunities.

- OLB Khalil Mack is questionable with a back injury. He has been limited all week in practice. Clearly, he would be a major loss if he can't play or is limited throughout the game. He is graded as the No. 2 edge rusher by PFF, is No. 1 among edge rushers in run defense, and is fifth in pressures. The Bears are top-5 in run defense success rate but are dead last in explosive run play percentage allowed. Not only would he really hurt the pass rush being out but his run defense is sorely needed. Barkevious Mingo would most likely see more extensive action if Mack can't go. He has played well with an 11.3% pressure rate, good for 36th among 113 edge rushers. However, he has really struggled in run defense, posting a 47.2 run defense grade.
- Slot CB Buster Skrine is also questionable. Skrine has been solid in the slot, posting a top 23 yards per snap and top 15 passer rating allowed in the slot this season. He would be mainly matched up against Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods who share the slot role for the Rams. Top CB Kyle Fuller will cover one of the two but Skrine is an important member of the secondary. He has covered the slot on 176 of the 190 Bears pass coverage snaps in the slot. Rookie CB Jaylon Johnson could slide into that role. He has allowed a low 50% completion rate but has posted a poor 53.3 coverage grade overall.

- TE Tyler Higbee, RB Darrell Henderson and WR Robert Woods all missed practice Friday, but Sean McVay thinks they’ll all play. Keep an eye on Woods' groin injury flaring up during the game. He could be limited. Everyone else should be ready to go and there are no significant injuries for the Rams.
