After an incredibly active Week 9, there are a number of playoff-hopeful teams struggling to stay healthy as we enter the second half of the 2020 NFL season.
Here are all the key players who could miss action this weekend and what it means for their team:

- Guard Ali Marpet is working his way back from a concussion after missing last week’s game and his absence was felt. Without him they allowed 30 pressures on 50 dropbacks, including 3 sacks and 8 hurries as a team. His replacement, Joe Haeg, allowed 7 total pressures on 44 drobacks.
- Starting CB Carlton Davis injured his knee and missed Thursday’s practice. He is listed as questionable. He’s been excellent this season, allowing the 4th lowest QB rating, 13th lowest completion percentage and posting a top 25 PFF coverage grade. Only 3 CBs, including Davis, have taken a coverage snap for Tampa.

- RB Christian McCaffery is out this week, one game after returning from a long absence. He might be back next week.
- LT Russell Okung continues to be out and that position has been a big hole on the OL. Dennis Daley is back and has played a bit better than the struggling Greg Little as a fill in to Okung. Daley held his own last week against a good KC pass rush and only allowed 1 pressure all game.
- LB Jeremy Chinn (knee), DE Yetur Gross-Matos (ankle), DE Marquis Haynes (shoulder), CB Donte Jackson (toe), DE Austin Larkin (groin) all practiced Friday but are listed as questionable.

- Starting RB David Johnson left last week’s game due to a concussion and is out Sunday. Duke Johnson will start in his place.
- In addition starting LG Senio Kelemete is out as well. Kelemete has been a solid pass blocker, grading out as 12th best among Guards by PFF and is in the top 30 in lowest pressure rate allowed among 87 Guards. He has not allowed a sack this season. Starting in his place will be Max Scharping who has allowed 6 pressures on 90 dropbacks this season. He has posted a poor 48.3 pass block grade this season.

Both are crucial for the Browns excellent run offense and considering they will be going up against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, will be vital. TE Austin Hooper is expected back as well to give the Browns almost a full arsenal of weapons.
- It’s a good thing Teller is back as his replacement Chris Hubbard was placed on the COVID reserve list and is out.

- WR Kenny Golladay remains out this week and the Lions continue to struggle without their star WR this season. They are now 0-3 without Golladay and have averaged 21.3 points per game with him in the lineup and 26.6 without him.
- TJ Hockenson (toe), Jamal Agnew (ribs), Joe Dahl (back), Jarrad Davis (knee), Halapoulivaati Vaitai (foot) and Nick Williams (shoulder) are questionable. Williams did not practice Friday. If both Vaitai and Dahl are out, journeyman Oday Aboushi will probably start at Guard. He has a 52.2 overall grade from PFF.

- DL Doug Costin is out with a concussion and further hurts an already bad run defense. Costin along with Abry Jones (on IR) are the two best DL run stoppers.
- WR Laviska Shenault Jr. is out with a bad hamstring.
- Starting C Brandon Linder is questionable and has been an excellent player this season for the Jags. He grades out as the best pass blocking Center and 7th best run blocker by PFF. His backup is Tyler Shatley, who has been a very good run blocker but an awful pass blocker this season. He has graded out as the 3rd best run blocker and 33rd ranked pass blocker according to PFF.

- Star CB Jaire Alexander left last week’s game with a concussion and is doubtful this week. Clearly this would be an issue as Alexander is PFF’s #1 graded CB this season. It does help a little bit that Kevin King looks like he might back this week although he is listed as questionable. However, the depth behind both guys isn’t very good. Josh Jackson and Chandon Sullivan would be up next. Sullivan was excellent last season, posting a 75.4 coverage grade from PFF but has dipped to 64.9 this season. He has done a solid job prior to the catch, allowing a solid 68% completion percentage and a 93.8 QB rating (45th out of 115 CBs), however he ranks 114th in YAC per reception at 8.5. Jackson has a poor coverage grade of 48.5, even though he ranks top 5 in lowest yards per attempt and yards per reception among CBs.

- Joey Bosa will miss his second-straight game with a concussion. Bosa leads the Chargers with 4.5 sacks and 13 quarterback hits and is ranked fourth among edge rushers in overall grade by PFF. The Miami Dolphins rank 25th in pass-blocking this year, per PFF.
- The Chargers offensive line could get some help on Sunday if Trai Turner and Bryan Bulaga can get on the field. Turner has been out since Week 2, but has been more active in practice in recent weeks. Bulaga has allowed just one sack in 110 pass-blocking opportunities this season.

- Preston Williams landed on the IR this week. The wide receiver has just 18 catches in 2020, but leads the Dolphins in yards per reception (16.0) and ranks second among wide receivers on the team in yards per target (8.2). Mack Hollins did get 17 offensive snaps in Week 9 and caught a touchdown pass, his first catch since signing with the Dolphins in December of 2019.
- The Dolphins put LB Kyle Van Noy and DE Christian Wilkins on the COVID/reserve list on Thursday. The duo has combined for two sacks and 24 quarterback pressures this season.

- The Broncos will welcome the return of starting CB A.J. Bouye after missing last week’s game against Atlanta. He hasn’t played well this season but he is certainly additive with the lack of secondary depth for Denver. A bunch of guys were limited this week and are questionable including Jerry Jeudy (shoulder) Bryce Callahan (ankle) and Tackle Demar Dotson (groin/hand). All three are expected to play. Having both Bouye and Callahan is important as in their absence, Michael Ojemudia and Davontae Harris started against the Falcons, and allowed Matt Ryan to compile a passer rating of 112.1 and throw three touchdowns.
- Starting DL Shelby Harris will miss Sunday’s game after missing last week as well.

Injured Reserve: CB Damon Arnette, thumb; C Richie Incognito, Achilles; WR Tyrell Williams, shoulder.
- LT Kolton Miller is out again this week. Brandon Parker will start this week and he is not a very good LT. In his career, Parker has allowed a poor 8.4% pressure rate and has produced overall PFF grades of 48.2 and 39.3 the last two seasons.
- Raiders put Trent Brown back on the COVID/reserve list last week and expect him to miss at least a month. Brown missed Week 8 after a mishap with a pregame IV led to his hospitalization. Sam Young will continue to fill in for Brown, however, Young’s play has slipped in recent weeks. Young hasn’t received a pass-blocking grade over 40 since Week 4 from PFF and has allowed six pressures and three sacks in the last two weeks.
- The defense will take a hit with the continued loss of DT Maurice Hurst who also missed last week’s game. In addition, starting LB Cory Littleton is out on the COVID/reserve list. Hurst is the Raiders highest graded defensive player this season. Littleton has really struggled since joining the Raiders in the offseason, posting a 36.7 overall PFF grade.

- Once again, the Bills linebackers have been decimated by injuries with Matt Milano, Tyrel Dodson and Del'Shawn Phillips all back on the IR. AJ Klein has gotten four-straight starts and has graded out well as a pass-rusher (88.4), but has a dismal 27.3 run defense grade. Buffalo's Week 10 opponent currently ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and rushing yards per attempt. The Bills' defense ranks 21st, 30th and 25th in those categories this season.

- Dre Kirkpatrick sat out Week 9 due to a thigh injury and is listed as questionable for Week 10. Kirkpatrick's Week 9 replacement, Kevin Peterson, has landed on the IR, so Kirkpatrick's return would be a boost to the Arizona secondary. However, opposing QBs have a passer rating of 105.7 when targeted Kirkpatrick this season, nearly 20 points higher than Kirpatrick's career number (86.2).
- Running back Kenyan Drake hasn't played since Week 7, but the Arizona rushing attack hasn't suffered in his absence. The Cardinals racked up 178 rushing yards in their loss to Miami in Week 9 and Chase Edmonds is averaging 4.6 yards per carry this season.

Injured Reserve: DB Neiko Thorpe, hip; S Marquise Blair, knee; LB Bruce Irvin, knee; WR Phillip Dorsett, foot; G Phil Haynes, undisclosed.
- The possible return of running backs Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde would be a huge boost for the Seahawks run game. Backups Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas are averaging 3.5 and 3.0 yards per carry this season, respectively. Seattle rushed for a season-low 57 yards in Week 9 against Buffalo.
- Linebacker KJ Wright is currently listed as questionable, but would be a big loss if he is unable to go. Wright's 81.7 coverage grade ranks fifth among all NFL linebackers. Jordyn Brooks could start if Wright can't go.
- Starting cornerbacks Shaq Griffin and Quinton Dunbar are both out. Tre Flowers and Quandre Diggs will start. Both have been bad this year with Flowers posting a 45.3 coverage grade and Diggs 54.3. Combined they’ve allowed 30 of 41 targets to be caught for 12.5 yards per reception and 3 TDs.
- Starting center Ethan Pocic will miss his first snaps of 2020 on Sunday. Pocic hasn't allowed a sack all season and will be replaced by Kyle Fuller, who will be taking his first NFL snaps. Tough matchup for Fuller too, lining up across from Aaron Donald.

- Mike Hilton has been out since Week 6, but should make his return against the Bengals. Hilton split time between playing in the slot and playing strong safety. Hilton has struggled in coverage (103.4 passer rating allowed), but has excelled as a pass-rusher, tallying seven pressures and two sacks in 31 pass-rushing opportunities.

- Calais Campbell ranks 20th among defensive linemen according to PFF and 8th in run defense grade. Derek Wolfe should get more snaps in Campbell's absence. Wolfe has just eight quarterback pressures in 158 pass-rushing opportunities.
- Cornerback Jimmy Smith has excelled in coverage this year, holding opposing QBs to a passer rating of 61.2 and allowing just 13 completions on 25 targets in 2020. However, the Ravens will have Marlon Humphrey back from the COVID/reserve list this week. Humphrey's 75.2 PFF coverage grade ranks 14th among all NFL cornerbacks.
