Considering all we've gone through in recent weeks, Week 16 seemed to be pretty normal. There weren't any games rescheduled and although over 100 players were added to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, the NFL's ever-changing policies have made it easier than ever to get off the list.
With all that in mind, here is how healthy every team is as we head into the final two weeks of the season:
Arizona Cardinals
Running back James Conner is considered “day-to-day” after being inactive on Sunday due to a heel injury.
With Conner out against the Colts, Chase Edmonds shouldered the load, earning 16 carries as well as eight catches. In fact, Edmonds was the Cardinals leading receiver, gaining 71 yards on those eight receptions.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons had to play with a short-handed defensive line against the Lions after nose tackle Tyeler Davison tested positive for COVID-19. Davison is second among defensive linemen on the team in stops, although he trails Grady Jarrett by quite a bit.
Anthony Rush started against the Lions on Sunday and played well. Detroit averaged less than three yards per carry when rushing up the middle.
Baltimore Ravens
Anthony Averett suffered a fractured rib in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. The cornerback was carted off the field and he is a long shot to return this week.
With Marlon Humphrey on the IR and a number of other corners stuck on the COVID-19 list, the Ravens were forced to finish with Daryl Worley and Kevon Seymour at cornerback against the Bengals.
The duo was torched by Tee Higgins for seven catches, 118 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets.
The Ravens are also hopeful that Lamar Jackson can return this week after a two-week absence. Backup Tyler Huntley also missed Sunday's game due to COVID-19, leaving Josh Johnson to start.
Buffalo Bills
Starting left guard Ike Boettger was placed on the IR after suffering an Achilles injury this week. The Bills line shuffled after Boettger went down, with Dion Dawkins assuming his position at left tackle, Spencer Brown moving to right tackle, Daryl Williams kicking inside to right guard and Ryan Bates flipping to left guard.
Most of the guys played well, save for Williams who allowed five pressures.
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers lost a number of key players to COVID-19 on Monday, including Brian Burns and Shaq Thompson. Burns has been one of the best pass rushers this season, earning a Pro Bowl nod and notching multiple pressures in every game he's played this season.
If Thompson misses time, Jermaine Carter will assume the duties of middle linebacker.
Chicago Bears
Left tackle remains unsettled for the Bears after Teven Jenkins suffered a shoulder injury against the Seahawks. With Jason Peters also hurt, Larry Borom played almost the whole game against the Seahawks.
Borom struggled on Sunday, allowing five pressures and two sacks.
Cincinnati Bengals
Not much went wrong for the Bengals this week, but they did have to play the Ravens without the services of defensive tackle D.J. Reader, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
Reader is Pro Football Focus's 10th-highest-graded defensive lineman this season and was replaced in the starting lineup by Josh Tupou. Tupou has just 10 pressures and seven tackles this season.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are still mired in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak, but the worst seems to be behind them. Cleveland did activate five players from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, including Kareem Hunt, Jadeveon Clowney, and Ronnie Harrison Jr.
Missing Clowney hurt the pass rush against Aaron Rodgers on Saturday, Cleveland was unable to sack the Packers quarterback. Harrison is one of the Browns' best run defenders, but without him, the Packers averaged 4.5 yards per rush attempt.
Dallas Cowboys
Tyron Smith missed another game due to his injury, but the Cowboys are very optimistic that their franchise left tackle will be available against Arizona this week.
Smith has missed a lot of time this year, but has allowed just eight pressures in 10 games this season. Terence Steele and Ty Nsekhe split time at left tackle against Washington and Steele even caught a touchdown pass.
Denver Broncos
Teddy Bridgewater was inactive on Sunday and Drew Lock struggled in his first start of 2021. Unfortunately for the Broncos, Bridgewater remains in concussion protocol and is a longshot to return this week.
Lock was 25th among quarterbacks in EPA per play on Sunday, but he has won two games in his career against the Chargers, Denver's Week 17 opponent.
Detroit Lions
Jared Goff was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday after missing a game following a positive test. He should assume the starting role after another lackluster Tim Boyle performance.
Goff had played well in recent weeks prior to being inactive, completing 69 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating over 105 in his previous four games.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers' COVID-19 situation is spiraling with eight new players added to the COVID list this weekend. The biggest names on the list are Marquez Valdes-Scantling and cornerback Kevin King.
While he does trail Davante Adams by nearly 1000 yards, Valdes-Scantling is the Packers' second-leading receiver and King has started a game as recently as Week 11, although the performance by Rasul Douglas may have pushed him down the depth chart.
Houston Texans
The Texans pulled off perhaps the greatest upset of the season on Sunday, knocking off the Chargers despite having 19 players on the COVID-19 list.
As it stands now, the Texans are still without three starting offensive linemen and are also missing five starters on defense.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts offensive line is all sorts of banged up with all five starters currently out. Ryan Kelly is away from the team due to a personal matter, left tackle Eric Fisher injured his knee on Saturday night and the trio of Quenton Nelson, Braden Smith and Mark Glowinski are all on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
With all those guys out, Jonathan Taylor struggled against Arizona's mediocre run defense, averaging just four yards per carry, his lowest mark since Week 5.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Running back James Robinson is done for the year after suffering an Achilles injury on Sunday and moved to the IR. The second-year back averaged 4.7 yards per carry this season, but due to some coaching issues, he managed to top 90 yards in just one game.
With Carlos Hyde also on the IR, Dare Ogunbowale should be the starting running back in Week 17 against the Patriots. Ogunbowale has just 66 career carries in his five NFL seasons. Against the Jets on Sunday, he rushed 17 times for 57 yards and scored his first touchdown since 2019.
Kansas City Chiefs
Clyde Edwards-Helaire bruised his shoulder on Sunday and is considered “week-to-week” although his availability for Week 17 remains in doubt.
Edwards-Helaire missed time earlier this season due to a knee injury and if he's absent from Week 17 against the Bengals, it will be Darrel Williams starting again.
In five starts this season, Williams averaged 3.54 yards per carry and 9.4 yards per reception.
Las Vegas Raiders
Derek Carr is dealing with bruised ribs, but the injury shouldn't affect his participation in practice this week. If something unforeseen does occur, it will be troublesome for Vegas with backup quarterback Marcus Mariota on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Practice squad member Nate Peterman is the team's third-string quarterback.
Also, Darren Waller could be back at practice starting on Wednesday. He hasn't played since getting injured on Thanksgiving.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers secondary has been ravaged by COVID-19 in recent weeks with Michael Davis, Chris Harris and Nasir Adderley all out.
Asante Samuel Jr. did return from his concussion, although the rookie did allow a 36-yard completion. The other starting cornerback, Davontae Harris was torched by Davis Mills, allowing catches on all six of his targets for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Los Angeles Rams
Darrell Henderson will be placed on the IR due to a knee injury. As a result, Cam Akers could see some playing time after being activated off the non-football injury list last week.
This would be an unbelievable development for Akers, who tore his Achilles just five months ago. Obviously, his role would probably be a complementary one to Sony Michel, but Akers played really well for the Rams in the postseason last year, rushing for 221 yards on 4.8 yards per carry in two games.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins receiving corps was thin on Monday night with Albert Wilson on the COVID-19 list and Tommylee Lewis leaving early due to a hip injury.
Luckily the only guy Tua Tagovailoa needed was Jaylen Waddle, who was fresh off the COVID-19 list himself. Twelve of Tagovailoa's 26 pass attempts went to the rookie and Waddle caught 10 of them for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Minnesota Vikings
Adam Thielen left the Vikings loss early after reinjuring his ankle, but Mike Zimmer thinks his star receiver could be back on the field as soon as this week.
With Thielen sidelined, Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn were the stars of the passing game, earning 12 and seven targets, respectively.
Thielen originally was injured in Week 13 and missed two games before returning against the Rams on Sunday. The two-time Pro Bowler has struggled at Lambeau Field recently, catching eight passes for 102 yards in his last two games combined.
New England Patriots
The Patriots lost Matt Judon and Ja'Whaun Bentley to COVID-19 on Monday. Judon has been one of the NFL's best pass rushers this season, although his production has trailed off recently with just two pressures in the last two weeks.
Bentley has performed well in pass coverage this year, allowing zero explosive completions and holding opposing QBs to a passer rating of 85.2 when targeted.
The Patriots have a number of high profile linebackers including Jamie Collins and Dont'a Hightower and their next opponent is a depleted Jacksonville team that is desperate to get to the offseason.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints were forced to play Ian Book at quarterback on Monday night after both Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian were added to the reserve/COVID-19 list last week.
Book struggled in his first NFL action, tossing a pair of interceptions and never converting a third down. He was also sacked eight times for a total loss of 54 yards.
New York Giants
The Giants lost Nate Solder to COVID-19 prior to their loss against the Eagles on Sunday and his replacement, Matt Peart, suffered a torn ACL in the game.
This is a lost season for the Giants who are now stuck with Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm playing quarterback, but if Solder doesn't return from COVID-19 before the end of the week, Korey Cunningham could get the start at right tackle.
Against the Eagles, Cunningham allowed a sack and six pressures on 48 pass-blocking snaps.
New York Jets
Speaking of lost seasons, left tackle Mekhi Becton is out for the rest of the season, “barring a miracle,” per Robert Saleh. Becton hasn't played since the season opener, and despite an initial prognosis of just six-to-eight weeks of recovery, he has missed 14 weeks since his operation.
Becton performed well as a rookie, allowing just 23 pressures all season, but George Fant has actually been a pleasant surprise for the Jets this season at left tackle, allowing just one sack and 18 pressures since taking over the job in Week 2.
Philadelphia Eagles
Miles Sanders suffered a broken hand on Sunday, but won't be added to the IR. Complicating matters is the neck injury suffered by Jordan Howard, leaving Boston Scott and Kenny Gainwell as the only two healthy backs on the NFL's best rushing attack.
The Eagles ran for over 175 yards in seven-straight games before managing only 130 yards on the ground against the Giants on Sunday.
When the Eagles and Washington met last week, only Sanders and Howard saw any touches, although Gainwell was targeted once in the passing game.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers were without Pat Freiermuth on Sunday due to a concussion. The rookie tight end suffered his injury at the end of Week 15.
Zach Gentry was targeted four times and caught all four passes for 31 yards. Mike Tomlin still hasn't given an update on his rookie tight end. However, he did play well against the Browns earlier this year, catching four passes for 44 yards and a touchdown in the 15-10 win.
San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn UCL and fractured right thumb on Sunday. While his status remains “uncertain” for Sunday, it seems like a long shot for the quarterback to play with a broken thumb on his throwing hand.
If Garoppolo is out, the Niners will turn to Trey Lance, who made one start back in Week 5 against Arizona. Lance has played just five snaps since, all of which came in Week 11, and hasn't thrown a pass since that lone start.
Seattle Seahawks
Both Brandon Shell and D.J. Reed were inactive against the Bears due to COVID-19, although Pete Carroll does expect some of his veterans back soon.
Rookie Jake Curhan has actually played well in his three starts at right tackle, allowing zero sacks and only two quarterback hits.
John Reid got his first start of the season at cornerback for Reid against the Bears and allowed three completions for 36 yards on six targets, although he did record two pass breakups as well.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Shaq Barrett suffered a sprained MCL and ACL on Sunday and is expected to miss the Bucs final two regular season games. Anthony Nelson had his best game of the season on Sunday and could replace Barrett in the starting lineup for the next two weeks, but it should be smooth sailing for Tampa Bay with the Jets and Panthers left on the schedule.
Elsewhere, Mike Evans was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list. The receiver was inactive on Sunday due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 15.
Whether Evans would've been healthy enough to play in Week 17 remains in question, although he's still over 100 yards away from reaching 1000 for the eighth-straight season.
For now, just expect a lot more Antonio Brown after his 10-catch, 100-yard performance against Carolina.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans placed five guys on the COVID-19 list on Monday, including Julio Jones, Bud Dupree, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
The wide receivers are a tough break for Ryan Tannehill, but after he threw 16 of his 29 pass attempts to A.J. Brown against San Francisco, it seems unlikely he'd notice if either Jones or Westbrook-Ikhine are absent in Week 17.
As for Dupree, he missed a lot of time earlier in the season, but had come on strong recently, recording a sack in each of the last two games.
Washington Football Team
Washington seems to have gotten a handle on COVID-19 in recent days with the number of players on the list dwindling down to just two: Nate Orchard and Zack Bailey.
In non-COVID news, Deshazor Everett has been discharged from the hospital after he was in a car accident last week. However, he will not be returning to football this season.
