AP Most Valuable Player Prediction: Lamar Jackson
Somehow, this year's MVP race is set to rival last year's photo finish, but it comes as no surprise that we're left talking about the same two competitors.
This is, however, a much different race from what we saw in 2023.
This time around, Jackson leads Josh Allen in most major passing stats, with only the turnover battle and rushing touchdowns swinging in favor of Buffalo's signal caller.
All signs point to a third award for Jackson, whose career-highs in completions (316), passing yards (4,172), and passing touchdowns (41) far exceeded Allen's numbers this season.
AP Offensive Player of the Year Prediction: Saquon Barkley
Since his departure from the Giants over the offseason, Barkley has shown a certain level of drive that can only come with the opportunity to play behind one of the best offensive lines in the league.
In his first season with Philadelphia, Barkley saw a career-high 345 carries and he made the absolute most of them.
By season's end, Barkley became one of just nine players in league history to join the 2,000-yard club and would have likely broken Eric Dickerson‘s single-season rushing record had he not sat out Week 18 due to pre-playoff health concerns.

AP Coach of the Year Prediction: Kevin O'Connell
Despite the difficult end to an otherwise exceptional season, Kevin O'Connell remains our pick for Coach of the Year.
O'Connell's development of talent throughout a season that began with so many question marks is truly commendable.
The predominant concern entering this year was the chaos surrounding the starting quarterback position.
10th-overall draft pick J.J. McCarthy went down with a season-ending injury before getting the chance to start.
This opened the door for Sam Darnold, who was signed in March to provide a veteran presence for McCarthy to learn from.
Darnold has struggled in starting roles across the league, and many wrote him off as a filler quarterback, but as the season went on it became clear that Minnesota may have developed a long-term solution from a short-term fix.
Darnold went on to lead the team to a 14-3 record, finishing fifth in the league in passing yards (4,319) and touchdowns (35) with career highs in every major passing metric.
Unfortunately, the story of the 2024 Minnesota Vikings will be remembered for their dramatic backslide into Wild Card elimination.
Still, what O'Connell was able to produce this season with so many variables working against him makes him the clear choice for this award.
AP Comeback Player of the Year Prediction: Joe Burrow
Resting comfortably one rung below the MVP conversation between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, Burrow posted extremely impressive numbers of his own despite his team's middle-of-the-pack record.
He very nearly completed the coveted quarterback ‘triple crown' by leading the league in passing yards (4,918) and touchdown passes (43), falling just shy of the completion percentage lead.
While Comeback Player of the Year may seem like a bit of a consolation prize considering Burrow's impressive numbers this season, it is important to consider what he dealt with last season.
Burrow's 2023 campaign ended when he sustained a torn ligament in his throwing wrist in mid-November.
This was not the only ailment he was working through last year.
He spent several weeks early on working through a less aggressive calf injury.
His resurgence to elite form from such a battered state truly encapsulates the spirit of this award.
AP Defensive Player of the Year Prediction: Patrick Surtain II
With 5 turnovers forced (4 INTs and 1 forced fumble) and 11 passes defended, Surtains dependability has been the defining factor of his game throughout his last four (Pro Bowl) seasons.
The moment that would likely solidify this award for Surtain came in Week 5 when he returned an interception for a 100-yard touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.
This play accounted for the majority of his league-leading 132 interception return yards.
AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Prediction: Jayden Daniels
Daniels has been the runaway favorite for this award for the majority of this season, and a glance at his statistics makes it abundantly clear why.
The LSU-alum finished his rookie year with the fourth-highest QBR in the league (70.5) and tied for 10th in passing TDs (25).
While his passing game was a lethal weapon, he was equally effective on the ground.
In Week 17, Daniels broke the single-season rushing record for rookie quarterbacks, dethroning Robert Griffin III, who held the record for 12 years.
He closed the year with 891 rushing yards on 148 attempts, scoring 6 touchdowns in the process.
AP Defensive Rookie of the Year Prediction: Jared Verse
Verse turned Los Angeles' defense up a notch this season.
While they play different positions, Verse ended up filling the void Aaron Donald left in this front seven by generating the type of natural quarterback pressure this Rams defense has relied on for years.
His 76 pressures on the season ranked fourth in the league, the most by a rookie since the 80 regular season pressures that won Nick Bosa this award in 2019.
He was also an impact player in the turnover battle, forcing 2 fumbles in his first 9 games.
