Week 2 of the NFL season kicked off with an AFC West heavyweight showdown and unfortunately for the Chargers, a body shot might have sidelined their franchise quarterback.

With that in mind, it's important to keep an eye on these practice reports to see what key NFL players might be missing or limited in this weekend's action due to injuries.

Also, be sure to bookmark our NFL Injured Reserve Tracker which will be updated weekly throughout the season.

– The Jets will stick with Joe Flacco for another week at quarterback with Zach Wilson still out due to a knee injury.

There was some speculation that Robert Saleh would turn to Mike White after Flacco's abysmal Week 1, but that is not the case.

– Luckily for Flacco, George Fant should be protecting his blindeside after a full day of practice on Friday.

Although Fant does carry a questionable designation into the weekend and allowed four pressures last week against the Ravens.

– Starting right tackle Jack Conklin is questionable after missing Week 1 and his backup, Chris Hubbard, is out due to an elbow injury.

With Cleveland slated to play on Thursday Night Football in Week 3, we could see the Browns be conservative with Conklin and save him from the short turnaround.

If that's the case, James Hudson will make another start. Hudson was impressive in Week 1, allowing just one hurry. Save for one disastrous performance last year against TJ Watt–three sacks allowed–Hudson has allowed zero QB hits and just six pressures in his five career starts.

Kam Curl is questionable as he recovers from the thumb injury he suffered in the preseason.

Frank Ragnow is out this week after playing every snap against the Eagles in Week 1. The depth on the Lions offensive line is already thin with Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Tommy Kraemer already on the IR.

Evan Brown will step in after making 12 starts at center for Detroit last season. He allowed just one sack and eight total pressures in those contests.

D'Andre Swift joining practice on Friday is a step in the right direction, but he's still questionable heading into Sunday. He played 46 snaps and had 18 touches in Week 1.

Even if Swift does suit up, Jamaal Williams could get more touches in a complementary role after scoring two touchdowns against the Eagles. Williams did have 12 touches in Week 1, but gained only 30 yards from scrimmage.

– The Colts will go another week without Shaquille Leonard as he recovers from back surgery, although his full participation in practice all week is a good sign he's close to returning.

Matt Ryan may have a hard time throwing the ball downfield on Sunday, especially if Michael Pittman is unable to suit up. Fellow starting wide receiver Alec Pierce has already been ruled out due to a concussion.

Ashton Dulin and Parris Campbell combined for six catches on 10 targets last week, with Campbell mainly working out of the slot.

Former seventh-round pick Mike Strachan added two catches last week, despite playing only 11 offensive snaps.

– The bad luck on the offensive line continues for the Buccaneers, who will likely be without Donovan Smith on Sunday as he deals with a hyperextended elbow.

Eight-year veteran Josh Wells will be protecting Tom Brady's blindside after allowing a sack and two pressures in 19 snaps against the Cowboys last week.

Since joining the Buccaneers, Brady has been sacked 13 times in four games against the Saints, including four times in a 9-0 loss last December.

– Brady will also be without his favorite receiver with Chris Godwin sidelined after suffering a hamstring injury last week.

Godwin's injury led to Julio Jones catching three passes for 69 yards on five targets and adding 17 yards on two carries.

However, not only does Jones appear as questionable, so do three other wide receivers who currently top the Bucs' depth chart: Mike Evans, Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman.

– There are a lot of question marks in the Saints' backfield with Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram all listed as questionable heading into the weekend.

Winston and Ingram have been limited in practice all week, and there should be little doubt they're suiting up on Sunday.

Kamara is an interesting case considering he's sat out practice the past two days. The Saints even signed Latavius Murray to their practice squad earlier in the week as insurance.

Murray spent 2019 and 2020 with New Orleans, averaging 4.4 yards per carry and over nine attempts per game.

Isaiah Wynn could flip from right tackle to left tackle if Brown is inactive, or Bill Belichick could elevate Yodny Cajuste into the starting lineup.

Cajuste has two career starts, both coming at right tackle, and 91 snaps of NFL experience.

However, Armstead told reporters on Friday that he is “trying to play every game, every snap,” indicating his availability.

That's good news, considering the Dolphins top reserve tackle, Greg Little, is already starting at right tackle. Little played 45 snaps in Week 1 and allowed three pressures.

Mekari made 12 starts at right tackle in 2021, but Sunday will be the first start at left tackle in his NFL career. He earned the second-lowest pass blocking grade on the Ravens in Week 1, ahead of only rookie Tyler Linderbaum.

JK Dobbins could make his first appearance since 2020 after telling reporters he feels “great” this week. He averaged 6.0 yards per carry as a rookie.

Dobbins return would be a welcome sight for a Ravens offense that struggled to move the ball on the ground in Week 1. Kenyan Drake led the way with 31 yards on 11 carries against the Jets.

Damien Williams' absence is good news for Cordarrelle Patterson fans. Patterson set a career-high in touches last week after Williams went down, playing 49 snaps and carrying the ball 22 times.
