As the temperatures drop and the NFL season marches on, bye weeks are in full effect, saving four more teams this week from the grind of football for at least a few days.
As for the rest of the league, the schedule doesn't stop after last night's refreshingly high-scoring Thursday night affair.
Here's a look at every injury report for Sunday's action and analysis on the biggest storylines:

– The Bucs will be without both of their aging pass-catchers on Sunday with Julio Jones and Cameron Brate both ruled out.
Jones hasn't played since Week 4 and that was his only action since Week 1. The Buccaneers have said they're going to be cautious with Jones so he's ready down the stretch, but this is becoming another lost season for the future Hall of Famer.
As for Brate, this will be his second consecutive absence due to his neck injury. Rookie Cade Otton has 14 targets in the last three games, catching 11 of them for 95 yards. Tight ends have been targeted just 29 times against the Panthers defense, third-least in the NFL.

– With Baker Mayfield dealing with an ankle injury and Sam Darnold still on the IR, the Panthers will turn to PJ Walker once again at quarterback.
Walker struggled last week against the Rams, completing just 10 passes for 60 yards on 16 attempts. The Panthers offense did not score an offensive touchdown in the loss.
– Despite being designated as questionable, starting center Pat Elflein is expected to sit out on Sunday.
That means Bradley Bozeman will get to make his first start of the season. The former Raven was expected to be the starting center this season, but a training camp injury opened the door for Elflein and Bozeman has be resigned to special teams duties exclusively this season.
Last year, Bozeman made 16 starts for Baltimore at center and allowed just three sacks and 21 total pressures.

Hall has played just 87 snaps this season, but is the Falcons' highest-graded defender on Pro Football Focus. He played well last week against the 49ers, allowing just one catch for three yards and also earning two pass breakups.

Swift averaged 8.6 yards per carry before his injury. Jamaal Williams had 34 carries, 164 yards, and two touchdowns in the two games Swift sat out.

– The big news in Dallas this week is the impending return of Dak Prescott following his thumb injury. The Pro Bowler was a full participant in practice all week.
The Cowboys did go 4-1 with Prescott on the shelf, but Cooper Rush struggled in his last start, tossing three interceptions in a loss to the Eagles.
Prescott was abysmal in Week 1, completing just 14 of his 29 attempts for 134 yards, but he was elite for Dallas down the stretch in 2021, tossing 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions while completing over 70 percent of his throws in the final four games.

– Azeez Ojulari looked to be on-track to return from his calf injury this week, but was ruled out following his absence from Friday's practice. He had previously been limited in practice every day for the previous two weeks.
The Giants are currently 10th in the NFL in quarterback pressures, but have had to blitz at the league’s highest rate in order to get there.
Luckily for New York, Trevor Lawrence has struggled mightily against the blitz this season, averaging 6.3 yards per attempt and throwing two touchdowns and interceptions. He's been very shaky under pressure, completing just 40 percent of his passes in those situations.

– Tre Herndon will get the start at cornerback this week with Shaquill Griffin out due to a back injury. He previously got a start in Week 3 and allowed two completions on three targets.
Herndon was a full-time starter back in 2020, but really struggled in coverage, allowing a passer rating of 113.1 when he was targeted. That number ranked among the bottom 10 of cornerbacks that season.
– With return specialist Jamal Agnew ruled out, Chris Claybrooks will handle kick return duties and Christian Kirk could see some time as a punt returner. Claybrooks returned three kicks last week and averaged 18 yards per return.
As for Kirk, he spent time as the lead returner when he was in Arizona, but averaged just 6.5 yards per return for his career and doesn't have a return over 24 yards since 2018.

– Jonathan Taylor will make his return this week after missing some time with an ankle injury. He will be joined by Nyheim Hines, who was inactive last week thanks to a concussion.
Last week, the Colts used a pass-heavy approach with Matt Ryan completing a career-high 42 passes in the win. However that could still be in play this week even with Taylor returning.
Taylor has struggled against the Titans in his career, averaging just 3.5 yards per attempt in four games against Tennessee, including 20 carries for 42 yards earlier this season.

Former second-round pick Dillon Radunz will start again after allowing just two pressures in his first start last week. The North Dakota State product made one start as a rookie, but it came at left tackle.
– The Titans defense will get some reinforcements back with Bud Dupree and Amani Hooker both healthy heading into the weekend. Dupree has played just nine snaps since Week 2 and Hooker has been inactive since suffering his concussion in Week 3.

– Morgan Moses is questionable after being carted off the field last week with a heel injury. If he is inactive, Patrick Mekari is free to play right tackle since Ronnie Stanley has returned.
Mekari allowed a sack last week in limited action against the Giants. The four-year vet was the Ravens starting right tackle last year for 12 games ad allowed 23 pressures, including four sacks.
– Kenyan Drake seems primed to be the lead ball carrier this week with JK Dobbins out. Drake had 10 carries for 119 yards last week and added one catch in the passing game.
– Speaking of catches, Rashon Bateman could return this week after sitting out two games due to a sprained foot. The former first-round pick is averaging over 22 yards per reception this season and the Browns have been susceptible to the big play this season, allowing the fourth-most yards per completion.

– The Packers' receiving corps will be thin once again this week with both Randall Cobb and Christian Watson ruled out. Get used to this as both of their injuries aren't expect to be short-term issues.
Cobb emerged as Aaron Rodgers‘ favorite target in London two weeks ago, earning 13 targets, but had just one target on 20 routes against the Jets.
This leaves Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs as the two pass-catching options on the outside with Amari Rodgers and tight end Robert Tonyan handling the middle of the field.
Sammy Watkins could also return this week, but he's still on the IR as of this writing. Watkins could have a limited role if he is active for the first time since Week 2. He had six catches for 111 yards prior to his injury.

– Despite being traded to San Francisco on Thursday night, Christian McCaffrey was in uniform during Friday's practice. It remains to be seen whether he will be active on gameday, but Kyle Shanahan could have a small package of plays for the former Panther.
– Trent Williams is expected to return this week after missing three games with that ankle injury. The All Pro left tackle hasn't allowed a sack since Week 9 of last season.

– Kenny Pickett progressed through concussion protocol this week and is expected to start against the Dolphins. The rookie quarterback did get his first win last week over Tampa Bay, although he only threw for 67 yards on 18 attempts before exiting.
– Levi Wallace is also out of concussion protocol and should start at cornerback with Ahkello Witherspoon considered doubtful.
Wallace made two starts earlier this year and allowed even catches on 13 targets, intercepting one pass and allowing a touchdown. It could be a stressful afternoon for the Pittsburgh secondary, trying to keep up with the Dolphins' speedy receiving corps.

– Tua Tagovailoa will make his return this week after missing two games due to a concussion. Prior to his concussion issues, Tagovailoa was averaging over nine yards per pass attempt and threw eight touchdowns, six of which came in an upset win over the Bills.
