• The Colts averaged 1.0 points per drive in Week 1 (#26).
  • C.J. Stroud was the first QB in NFL history to make his debut in Week 1 with over 45 dropbacks and zero interceptions.

Warren Sharp’s game previews are unlike anything you’ll find anywhere in the industry, and this year he will be sharing his write-ups along with betting picks on Sharp Football Analysis.

Warren’s betting recommendations have seen sustained success, exceeding 58% wins across over 2,700 betting recommendations in his 17 years.

He has won 62.3% of NFL totals releases from 2006 through 2022 from his model, including exceeding a 70% win rate each of the last three seasons:

  • 37-15 record (71%) in 2022
  • 23-5 (82%) in 2021
  • 28-9 (76%) in 2020

Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts Week 2 Betting Preview:

Week 1 wasn’t kind for the Colts offense.

The Colts averaged 1.0 points per drive in Week 1 (#26).

Indianapolis running backs averaged -0.75 EPA per attempt (#32).

Even if you include Anthony Richardson’s rushes, they were still the worst rushing attack in the NFL.

Colts RB1 Deon Jackson played 51 snaps, had 23 touches and gained just 28 yards and lost 2 fumbles.

Last week on the road, Houston’s run defense held the Ravens RBs to just 2.6 YPC and only 63 yards on 24 total carries.

Even including Lamar Jackson, the Ravens averaged just 3.4 YPC vs this Texans run defense.

So I don’t believe the Colts will have a ton of efficiency on the ground and will need Anthony Richardson to carry more efficiency through the air.

All told last week, the Colts had 14 offensive drives last week at home vs one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Guess how many of the 14 drives had even 10 yards?
