Quarterback
Joe Burrow (TRUST): Burrow is scorching hot right now, ripping off four straight QB1 scoring weeks.
He has thrown multiple touchdowns in all those games, including five touchdowns on Sunday against the Ravens.
Over the past four weeks, Burrow has 104 completions (third), a 72.2% completion rate (4th), 8.4 yards per pass attempt (4th), and a league-high 12 touchdowns.
The Cincinnati defense has created an environment in which the Bengals must keep scoring points, propelling Burrow’s fantasy lines.
The Giants have generated a solid pass rush this season, getting to the quarterback at the highest rate in the league and ranking 9th in pressure (36.6%).
When the Giants have created pressure, they have allowed only a 39% completion rate (3rd) and 3.8 Y/A (5th).
But when the Giants have not gotten to the quarterback, they have been shredded for 8.4 Y/A (30th) and a league-high 83.6% completion rate.
The Giants have to get to Burrow here to have a chance of slowing him down, but even when they do, it may not matter.
When Burrow has been pressured the past four weeks, he leads the NFL with 12.2 yards per pass attempt and a 67.7% completion percentage.
Daniel Jones: Jones turned in a strong game on Sunday, ending the week as QB10 (22.1 points) in a game without Malik Nabers on the road in Seattle.
He completed 23-of-34 passes for 257 yards with 2 touchdowns, adding a season-high 38 yards rushing.
He has been a QB1 in three of his five games this season (with QB33 and QB25 weeks, to keep us honest).
Jones is a viable fantasy quarterback when the matchups line up, which is what we have here.
The Bengals have been a target for us to open the season, ranking 28th in passing points allowed per pass attempt (0.505).
There is no shame in allowing spike weeks to Jayden Daniels (28.1 points) and Lamar Jackson (33.4 points), but Andy Dalton (15.7 points) also had a QB13 week in the sandwich between those two.
That Dalton area is where I would handle Jones this week.
He can be streamed in 1QB leagues but is best used as a matchup-based QB2.
The Bengals allow 32.8 rushing yards per game to quarterbacks, that’s 31st in the league.
They have faced Jackson (55 yards) and Daniels (39 yards), but that also includes Jacoby Brissett (32 yards) and Patrick Mahomes (29 yards).
