- Every Cincinnati game has gone under the game total, joining the Colts as the only teams to have every game played go below the total this season.
- The Bengals are averaging a league-low 4.4 yards per play on first down and still a league-low 4.4 yards per play including first and second down plays.
- Cincinnati is averaging 6.6 yards per play on third down, fifth in the league.
- Just 14.4% of the Cincinnati first down plays have produced a first down or touchdown, the lowest rate in the league.
- The Saints (33.3%) and Bengals (41.7%) rank second and eighth in red zone conversion rate allowed defensively.
- The Saints have scored a touchdown on 35.3% of their red zone plays, second in the league.
- The Bengals have allowed a touchdown on 8.8% of drives, tied for the lowest rate in the league.
- The Saints have allowed a touchdown on 15.9% of drives, eighth in the league.
- 23.8% of the scoring plays against the Bengals have been touchdowns, the lowest rate in the league. League rate is 58.2%.
Quarterback
Joe Burrow: Burrow threw for 217 yards (6.2 yards per attempt) with just one touchdown pass on Sunday night versus the Ravens. But with a low-scoring week across the league and sneaking in a 1-yard touchdown on the ground, Burrow was still able to close the week as the QB11 (17.3 points).
The Bengals have had a world of issues to open the season on offense, but Burrow has been able to find footing in fantasy. Through five weeks, Burrow has only finished inside of the top 10 in scoring once, but he has been outside of the top 12 also just once, with a low week as the QB15. Burrow has just walked the line as a floor-based QB1 fantasy play while we wait for the Bengals to hopefully find their footing offensively.
New Orleans is not a matchup to run from Burrow continuing to live as a back-end QB1, ranking middle of the pack early in the season defending the pass. They are allowing 7.2 yards per pass attempt (19th), a 3.9% touchdown rate (14th), and 0.43 passing points per attempt (20th). They have allowed just one passer to throw multiple touchdowns, but that just came last week to Geno Smith.
The Saints could be without Marshon Lattimore as well this weekend. While the Saints do not have significant splits with Lattimore on and off the field defending the pass, removing another viable defensive player is in Burrow’s favor.
