Quarterback
Josh Allen: Allen started slowly on Sunday but finished in a big way on his way to a QB5 (21 points) scoring week.
Allen was only 4-of-11 for 65 yards without a touchdown in the first half against the Titans but got hot in the second half, completing 17-of-22 passes for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns.
There have been a few hiccups, but Allen has four top-five scoring weeks on the season, tied for second at the position.
He still has one of the highest ceilings as a front-end QB1.
Seattle had allowed three straight QB1 scoring weeks before getting back on track Sunday against Kirk Cousins.
The Seahawks are getting to the quarterback with a 40.6% pressure rate (4th).
When they create pressure, they have allowed 5.8 yards per pass attempt (13th) with only 2 touchdowns.
But when the Seahawks have not gotten pressure, they have struggled.
Without pressure, Seattle has allowed a 73.5% completion rate (24th), 7.6 Y/A (19th), and a 5.4% touchdown rate (26th).
When Allen has been kept clean, he has completed 73.1% of his passes (13th) for 8.4 Y/A (7th) and a 6.9% touchdown rate (3rd).
Geno Smith: Smith turned in another solid game on Sunday, closing the week as QB10 (17.8 points).
His 207 passing yards were his fewest in a game since Week 1, but he threw multiple touchdowns for the first time this season, tacking on 15 rushing yards.
Smith has been a top-10 scorer in five of his seven games this season, but this is a spot where I prefer to use him as a floor-based QB2 and take a spike week if I can run into it.
The loss of DK Metcalf is significant.
Smith only has 25 dropbacks this season without Metcalf on the field, but he has averaged 5.8 yards per pass attempt on those plays.
When Metcalf missed Week 7 last year, Smith was QB18 (13.4 points).
The receiving unit of Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jake Bobo is not exciting for ceiling expectations, especially since Buffalo is seventh in the league in passing points allowed per attempt (0.344) and fifth in yards allowed per attempt (6.4 Y/A).
