Quarterback

Lamar Jackson: Ending last week as QB17 (11.5 points), Jackson was outside of the top-12 scorers for the second consecutive week, the first time he has had back-to-back weeks as a QB2.

Unlike Week 8 when Jackson outright underperformed through the air against Arizona, he connected on a season-high 80.8% of his passes (21-of-26) for 187 yards. He also added 60 rushing yards.

But Baltimore scored three rushing touchdowns while Jackson was in the game (he rested in the fourth quarter).

Baltimore now has 17 rushing touchdowns this season compared to 10 through the air. That 62.9% rushing touchdown rate is the highest in the league.

As a byproduct, Jackson has thrown 2.5 fewer touchdowns than expected.

The Browns have not been a defense we have challenged this season, but when these teams played in Week 4, Jackson was the QB3 (28.1 points).

In that game, he was 15-of-19 passing for 186 yards and two touchdowns, tacking on 27 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

That was one of just two weeks this season that the Browns allowed a quarterback to finish higher than QB20, both of which came attached to multiple rushing touchdowns.

In that game, Jackson was only 4-of-7 for 12 yards (1.7 Y/A) when the Browns played man coverage but was 10-of-11 for 167 yards (15.2 Y/A) when Cleveland was in zone coverage.

Chasing the same outcome that Jackson had in Week 4 is at the lower end of probability here, but in a week with so many high-ceiling passers off, Jackson is one of the few remaining upside QB1 options we have.
