  • Since their Week 6 bye, 52.5% of the Kansas City set of downs have reached third down (28th) after a 43% rate prior (9th).

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes (TRUST): Mahomes is coming off his lowest weekly finish of the season, ending last week as QB21 (15.8 points).

Mahomes threw three touchdown passes against Buffalo but was limited to only 196 yards passing with a pair of interceptions.

Throwing for 5.9 yards per pass attempt, Mahomes has not thrown for 7.0 Y/A in a game since Week 5.

He has only one week inside the top-10 scorers, but that did come in an identifiable spot against the Buccaneers.

This is another one of those matchups, paired with a week in which Mahomes is only contending with 25 other passers.

Carolina is dead last in the NFL with a 24.2% pressure rate.

When they have not pressured the opposing passer, the Panthers have allowed a 75.8% completion rate (29th), 8.2 Y/A (26th), and a 5.6% touchdown rate (31st).

Carolina allows 15.6 passing points per game (28th in the league).

Bryce Young: Young will remain the starter coming out of the bye, per Dave Canales

Carolina has won the past two games with Young under center, their first winning streak since selecting Young a year ago.

While that is something to build on for their franchise, we are still not pushing Young as more than a lower-end QB2 for fantasy purposes.

Over his five starts this season, Young does not have a QB1 scoring week, averaging 9.4 points per game.

He has thrown 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, averaging 5.4 yards per pass attempt.

The Chiefs have allowed 18.1 fantasy points per game over their past five, which includes viable QB2 weeks to Garnder Minshew (15.0 points) and Bo Nix (16.1 points) if you are forced to throw Young out in 2QB formats.
