Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes (TRUST): Mahomes is coming off his worst game of the season, completing 18-of-30 passes for 203 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
Mahomes now has already had two weeks outside of the top-12 scorers after just one all of 2022.
The good news is that Mahomes ran for another 51 yards, something he has been doing a lot of since last season.
Mahomes has now rushed for 45, 30, 28, and 51 yards. He is averaging a career-high 5.8 rushing attempts per game.
His career-high for rushing yards is 381 yards, something he is on pace to best by Week 10.
This will be an intriguing matchup because nobody blitzes Mahomes and no team blitzes more than the Vikings, who send extra defenders on 57.0% of dropbacks.
Mahomes has been blitzed on a league-low 12.4% of dropbacks.
Mahomes has only completed 52.6% of his passes for 6.2 Y/A when blitzed so far this season, but since he entered the NFL, he has led the league with a 124.8 rating when blitzed.
Regardless of what Minnesota does, this is still an overall strong matchup for Mahomes.
Minnesota is going to play a ton of zone and shell coverage here. They are allowing a 76.5% completion rate (31st), but 7.2 yards per pass attempt (20th) and 9.4 yards per completion (fourth). Anticipate a game where Mahomes could throw a ton of short and efficient passes.
The Vikings are 23rd in passing points allowed per attempt (0.449) and 22nd in passing points allowed per game (15.3).
