Quarterback
Bo Nix: Nix exits the bye as the QB10 in fantasy points per game (17.5).
He is coming off one of his worst fantasy games of the season in Week 13 against Cleveland (12.2 points).
We entered that matchup highlighting Nix's best performance as a streamer and floor-based QB2 against opponents who struggle to pressure the quarterback.
Against Cleveland, Nix was 5-of-12 (41.7%) with two interceptions when pressured.
Over his rookie season, Nix has completed 44% of his passes (27th) for 5.3 yards per pass attempt (28th), a 2.8% touchdown rate (28th) and a 3.7% interception rate (23rd) when pressured.
When kept clean, Nix has completed 70.5% of his passes for 7.0 Y/A, a 4.3% touchdown rate, and a 1.2% interception rate.
This is another matchup where pressure should not be a major concern, which puts Nix back on the board as a high-end QB2 who can flirt with being a back-end QB1.
The Colts are 26th in the pressure rate (30.3%).
Without pressure, they have allowed a 76.9% completion rate (30th), 7.8 Y/A (21st) , and a 4% touchdown rate (14th).
Anthony Richardson: Since being put back into the lineup, Richardson has given us games such as QB5 (28.1 points), QB20 (13 points), and QB9 (21.2 points).
If you followed us in this space, his two spike weeks were identifiable when playing for the upside outcome.
This matchup does not offer a lot of the signals we chased those weeks, leaving Richardson as a volatile QB2.
Denver is 7th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.363), while Richardson is 33rd among quarterbacks in that department (0.328).
The Broncos are 2nd in the league in pressure rate (39%) and 2nd in blitz rate (36%).
Richardson has completed a league-low 37.5% of his passes when pressured.
He has completed a league-low 41.1% of his passes when blitzed.
Only Daniel Jones (5.1 Y/A) and Deshaun Watson (3.7 Y/A) have lower yards per attempt than Richardson’s 5.6 Y/A versus the blitz.
Richardson’s best out for fantasy comes via his legs in this matchup.
He has a 9.4% scramble rate when blitzed, which is 2nd in the league.
