- The Saints are the only team in the league that has not won a game when trailing at any point (0-8).
- New Orleans has averaged 4.6 yards per play without Derek Carr this season compared to 5.8 yards per play with him on the field. The difference between being 10th in the NFL to 31st.
- Washington has a league-high 47.9% success rate on rushing plays on offense.
- New Orleans's 55.2% success rate in defending rushing plays ranks 30th in the league.
- 57.1% (16-of-28) of the touchdowns allowed by New Orleans have been rushing, the second-highest rate in the league.
- 57.5% (23-of-40) of Washington's touchdowns have been scored on the ground, the third-highest rate in the league.
- Washington averages a league-high 3.11 points per drive on the road.
- The Commanders have scored a touchdown on a league-high 37% of their drives on the road. The league average is 21.3%.
- Since Week 10, Washington has scored a touchdown on 85.7% (12-of-14) of its red zone possessions, the highest rate in the league.
Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
Jayden Daniels: Daniels hit the bye week delivering a hyper-efficient outing that was what we became used to earlier in the season.
Daniels completed 83.3% of his passes (25-of-30), his highest rate in a game since Week 4.
He added 3 touchdown passes while rushing for 34 yards and another score.
Exiting the bye, Daniels is the QB5 in fantasy points per game (20.1).
Daniels and this passing game have been at their best when playing complementary football.
That should be the case here, given the implied game total and spread, which puts Daniels back in play as a fantasy QB1.
The Saints have done their best to hold up on the defensive side around many injuries and attached to an offense that has run hot and cold.
New Orleans has allowed 7.3 yards per pass attempt (20th) but a 61.1% completion rate (third) and a 2.6% touchdown rate (2nd).
That has schedule influence, but two weeks ago they held Matthew Stafford to only a 58.3% completion rate for 183 yards.
The Saints play aggressively, which has given Daniels some issues this season.
New Orleans plays man coverage on 32.6% of their defensive snaps, which is sixth in the league.
Daniels has completed 58.3% of his passes (12th) for 6.1 Y/A (25th) against man coverage compared to a 76.5% completion rate (2nd) and 8.7 Y/A (4th) against zone coverage.
Of course, that leaves room for zone coverage looks for Daniels.
The one area that can be an issue here playing aggressively is letting Daniels get loose with his legs.
The Saints are 22nd in rushing yardage allowed per game to quarterbacks (23.2).
New Orleans is 29th in scramble yards allowed this season (268).
Daniels leads the NFL with a 12.2% scramble rate.
Saints QB: With Derek Carr sidelined again due to a concussion and a broken bone in his non-throwing hand, the team will turn things back over to Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener.
Regardless of who draws the start, there is not much appeal outside of 2QB gamers forced to fill a roster spot (which is unlikely for most playoff rosters in those formats).
Rattler averaged 0.231 passing points per attempt while on the field this season, ahead of only Mac Jones (0.222) and Drew Lock (0.140).
Washington is 11th in pressure rate defensively.
When Rattler was pressured, he completed 11-of-27 (40.7%) passes for 4.9 Y/A.
Haener has completed 14-of-29 passes (48.3%) for 6.1 yards per attempt on his limited sample this season.
