Week 10 DFS Picks: Core Players and Best Plays

Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is in my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Week 10 DFS Content:

Our core players are the players we will have the most exposure to at their positions.

They can be played in cash games and tournaments.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts ($7,800/$9,400)

Hurts has led all quarterbacks in scoring in the past two weeks.

Since his Week 5 bye, Hurts is second in the NFL in yards per pass attempt (10.2 Y/A) while completing 72.3% of his passes (QB5).

The Cowboys allow 8.3 yards per pass attempt (31st) and a 5.9% touchdown rate (28th) to opposing passers.

Over their past three games, Dallas has allowed 12.6 Y/A to Jared Goff, 10.0 Y/A to Brock Purdy, and 9.2 Y/A to Kirk Cousins.

Sam Darnold ($6,200/$7,800)

Darnold has finished in the back half of weekly scorers just once this season.

He has thrown for 8.5 yards per pass attempt or more with multiple passing touchdowns in six of eight games this season.

With a high floor, Darnold gets the best matchup for quarterbacks.

The Jaguars are 31st in passing points allowed per attempt (0.565) and a league-high 19.0 passing points per game.

The Jaguars have allowed the QB1 overall scorer three times this season, the most in the NFL.

They have allowed top-12 weeks to Deshaun Watson, Caleb Williams, and Joe Flacco.

Every quarterback except for Jordan Love (who exited early) to face the Jaguars has scored more points than they have averaged entering that matchup.
