Week 12 DFS Picks: Core Players and Best Plays

Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is in my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

Week 12 DFS Content:

Our core players are the players we will have the most exposure to at their positions.

They can be played in cash games and tournaments.

Quarterback

Jayden Daniels ($7,000 DraftKings/$9,000 FanDuel)

I wrote extensively in the Worksheet about the recent runout Daniels has had.

I will not recycle everything here, so check that out for those thoughts.

Regardless of the cause of his recent issues, Washington is a home favorite in this spot, sporting one of the highest totals on the week.

Dallas has allowed a 67.2% completion rate (23rd), 8.3 yards per pass attempt (31st), and a 5.4% touchdown rate (25th) to passers.

Bo Nix ($6,300/$8,000)

Nix has averaged 21.5 fantasy points per game over his past seven games.

From a clean pocket over that stretch, Nix has completed 74.9% of his passes (7th) for 8.2 yards per attempt (9th) and a 6.3% touchdown rate (7th).

Pressure can still impact him, but that is irrelevant here since Las Vegas is 30th in the league regarding pressure rate.

When these teams played in Week 5, the Raiders ranked 26th out of 28 in pressure rate (19.4% of Nix’s dropbacks).

From a clean pocket in that game, Nix was 18-of-25 (72%) for 197 yards (7.9 Y/A) with a touchdown.

He ended that week as QB8 (23.1 points).

The Raiders are 25th in passing points allowed per game (14.9).
