Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is in my player pool that weekend for DFS.
This article series covers exactly that.
Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.
The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

It is not that tournament players cannot be used in cash games.
If a player here works out for your team structure in cash games surrounding your primary core, use them.
These are just the players that come with some element of inherent risk but are the primary players that I still want to be ahead of the field compared to the percentage of rosters they are projected to make this weekend.
I will analyze the player selections and game writeups, but for a detailed breakdown of the players and games, check out the Week 5 Worksheet.
Quarterback
Brock Purdy ($6,200 DraftKings/$7,700 FanDuel)
Purdy leads the NFL in passing yards (1,130) and yards per pass attempt (9.3).
He has completed 8.9% of his passes over expectations, which is better than Jayden Daniels (8.7%).
Purdy has a league-high 37 completions on throws 10 or more yards downfield, 11 more than the next-highest passer.
Arizona is 28th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.517).
They are 31st in yards allowed per pass attempt (8.5), last in completion rate (78.6%), and 22nd in touchdown rate (4.9%) allowed to passers.
In two starts against Arizona last season, Purdy completed 36-of-46 (78.3%) of his passes for 11.4 yards per pass attempt and 5 touchdowns.
Trevor Lawrence ($5,700/$7,000)
Lawrence has struggled as much as any quarterback this season.
He does not have a QB1 scoring week yet on the season and has not had one since Week 13 of last season.
He takes a significant step of faith, but this will be his best game to open the season.
As poor as Lawrence has been, he has completed 25-of-36 passes (69.4%) for 8.5 yards per pass attempt against Cover 3 this season.
The Colts are once again one of the heaviest users of Cover 3 under Gus Bradley (47.2% of passing plays).
Lawrence has been a QB1 scorer in all four career games against Bradley.
In those four games, the Colts have played Cover 3 58.5% of the time, the highest rate against any opponent they have faced multiple times.
Lawrence has completed 78.3% of his passes on those plays.
The Colts put their third defensive lineman on injured reserve this week and are already 20th in pressure rate (32.2% of dropbacks).
As a top-down pass defense, the Colts are 23rd in passing points allowed per attempt (0.464) and 27th in passing points allowed per game (15.3).
