Every Sunday in the weekly fantasy chats, I get asked about my favorite plays of the week or who is in my player pool that weekend for DFS.

This article series covers exactly that.

Every week, I will go through the players I am targeting to play in DFS for all games, tournaments, and game stacks.

The idea is that this will paint a clearer picture of framing lineups.

It is not that tournament players cannot be used in cash games.

If a player here works out for your team structure in cash games surrounding your primary core, use them.

These are just the players that come with some element of inherent risk but are the primary players that I still want to be ahead of the field compared to the percentage of rosters they are projected to make this weekend.

I will analyze the player selections and game writeups, but for a detailed breakdown of the players and games, check out the Week 6 Worksheet.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts ($7,200 DraftKings/$8,300 FanDuel)

Hurts comes out of the bye expected to have his full arsenal of playmakers on the field paired with Lane Johnson.

We will immediately see what adjustments this offense has made early in the year with their time off and getting star receivers back on the field.

Despite still getting to the quarterback at a high rate, the Browns allow 6.4 yards per attempt under pressure (22nd) and a 6.4% touchdown rate (22nd).

Cleveland has had issues with mobile passers in two of their past three games, allowing QB1 scoring weeks to Daniel Jones (19.4 points) and Jayden Daniels (19.7 points).

Because Cleveland plays so much man coverage (a league-high 45.1%), it does allow quarterbacks rushing opportunities.

Cleveland has allowed a league-high 13.4 yards per scramble.

Hurts has also averaged 9.5 yards per attempt against man coverage, fourth in the league.

Dak Prescott ($6,700/$8,000)

Prescott has thrown multiple touchdowns in three straight games.

Prescott averages 41.0 dropbacks per game (third in the league), as no team is as reliant on passing yardage as the Cowboys.

76.8% of the Dallas yardage has been gained via passing, the highest rate in the league.

Prescott should have another hefty dose of dropbacks in this game.

Detroit faces 39.5 pass attempts per game, the third-most in the league.

Prescott threw the ball 38 times when these teams played a year ago.

Detroit has made defensive changes on the back end this offseason.

They have not allowed more than one touchdown pass in a game yet.

They are ninth in passing points allowed per attempt (0.330).

But because they face so many dropbacks per game, they are 18th in passing points allowed per game (13.0).

Dak’s rushing days are behind him at this stage, but if there were a matchup for him to get out and have a few scrambles, this would be it.

Detroit has allowed Baker Mayfield (34 yards), Kyler Murray (45), and Geno Smith (38) to flirt with the equivalent of a passing touchdown’s worth of fantasy points on the ground.

Daniel Jones ($6,800 FanDuel)

Jones has been a QB1 in three of his five games this season (with QB33 and QB25 weeks, to keep us honest).

He is a viable fantasy quarterback when the matchups line up, which is what we have here.

The Bengals have been a target for us to open the season, ranking 28th in passing points allowed per pass attempt (0.505).

There is no shame in allowing spike weeks to Jayden Daniels (28.1 points) and Lamar Jackson (33.4 points), but Andy Dalton (15.7 points) also had a QB13 week in the sandwich between those two.

The Bengals allow 32.8 rushing yards per game to quarterbacks, the 31st in the league.

They have faced Jackson (55 yards) and Daniels (39 yards), but that also includes Jacoby Brissett (32 yards) and Patrick Mahomes (29 yards).
