  • The Eagles are the only team that has yet to score points in the first quarter this season.
  • The Giants average a league-low 0.90 points per drive at home this season.
  • 4.3% of the New York plays have gained 20 or more yards, 28th in the league.
  • The Eagles have led for 20.5% of their offensive snaps, the lowest rate for a team with a winning record at this point of the season (26th in the league).
  • The Giants have led for 16.3% of their offensive snaps, 29th in the league.
  • 43.5% (10-of-23) of the scoring plays against the Eagles and Giants have been touchdowns, the 4th-lowest rate in the league.
  • The Giants average -1.3 yards fewer per rushing play than their opponent, which is the worst differential in the league.
  • 31.9% of the Giants runs have gained 5 or more yards, ahead of only the Raiders (27.2%).

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts: Hurts came out of the bye with a QB8 (21.9 points) scoring week.

He completed a season-low 16 passes but offset that as he threw for a season-high 10.6 yards per pass attempt.

Hurts rushed a season-high 14 times, but that only resulted in 33 yards on the ground.

Hurts has been a QB1 scorer in four of his five games this season, and in his lone week when he was not, he still threw for 311 yards.

He is a steady QB1 for fantasy due to his touchdown upside and high floor.

One weird note is that Hurts and the Eagles used play action on just 4% of his dropbacks, the lowest rate in a game for his career.

The Eagles were not using much play action before Sunday, but they were at 25% entering the game.

That could be a one-off, just something that popped up as odd.

Hurts was still pressured on 46.2% of his dropbacks on Sunday (the 6th-highest percentage), which remains a bugaboo for this offense.

Jordan Malaita is expected to miss multiple games to compound matters.

On the season, Hurts has been pressured on 45.3% of his dropbacks, 2nd in the league behind Jacoby Brissett (46.5%) and just below Deshaun Watson (44.6%) to provide some context.

Under pressure, Hurts is 21st in rating (60.6), completing 50.8% of his passes (12th) for 4.5 Y/A (24th) with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

When kept clean, Hurts leads the NFL with 9.6 Y/A, completing 78.1% of his passes (3rd) with 4 touchdowns.

That is the angle for the Giants slowing down Hurts here.

The Giants are 9th in pressure rate (37.3%) and lead the NFL with a 14.1% sack rate.

When the Giants have generated pressure, they have allowed a 38% completion rate (3rd) and only 4 Y/A (3rd).

When they have not gotten pressure, the Giants have allowed a league-high 83.7% completion rate and 8.5 Y/A (30th).

Daniel Jones: Jones has been a volatile fantasy asset this season, logging three QB1 scoring weeks and another three weeks as the QB24 or lower.

He has three games without a touchdown pass.

Coincidentally, Jones has not thrown a touchdown pass or interception in the same game, but no games without either.

On Sunday Night, Jones threw for only 5 yards per pass attempt, his worst game since Week 1.

The good news for Jones is that he has run a lot more these past two weeks, rushing 11 times in each game for 38 and 56 yards.

We also should see Malik Nabers back on the field this week.

With Nabers in the game, Jones has completed 64% of his passes for 6.2 Y/A.

Without Nabers on the field, Jones has completed 59% of his passes for 6.0 Y/A.

The downside is that the Giants will be without Andrew Thomas, who struggled to play through a foot injury on Sunday Night.

Jones is an unstable QB2, but one with ways to the upside through rushing and the return of Nabers.

The Eagles are not a matchup that has scared us to this point.

They are 23rd in passing points allowed per attempt (0.442).
