Quarterback

Kirk Cousins: Cousins threw for 306 yards and 8.1 yards per pass attempt on Sunday against New Orleans, but he failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second time this season (which also came against New Orleans).

Cousins ended the week as QB17 (10.2 points).

He has finished as a QB1 scorer three times this year, with two coming against the Buccaneers.

Cousins is a floor-based QB2 here.

Denver bounced back from a beat down in Baltimore to slow down Patrick Mahomes for 6.3 yards per pass attempt and one touchdown.

Denver is 11th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.363), and they have been actively rushing the passer.

The Broncos are fifth in the league in pressure rate (37.1%) and are blitzing a league-high 41.9% of the time.

Cousins is 18th in the league in rating under pressure (73.0), throwing 5 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

He is 21st against the blitz (89.5), throwing for 7.1 yards per pass attempt (18th) with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.

From a clean pocket, Cousins has thrown 12 touchdown passes to 1 interception.

Bo Nix: Nix continues to play well and deliver viable fantasy lines.

He closed last week as QB12 (16.1 points), completing 73.3% of his passes with 2 touchdowns against a good Kansas City defense.

Nix has finished QB17 or higher in six straight games with four QB1 scoring weeks over that stretch.

He has only finished higher than QB8 once this season, but Nix is a high-floor QB2 with back-end QB1 appeal.

Atlanta has allowed a QB1 scorer in three of their past four games, a run that includes Geno Smith (17.8 points) and Derek Carr (20.5 points) last week.

The Falcons are 30th in the NFL in pressure rate (26.5%).

When they have not gotten pressure, they have allowed a 75.8% completion rate (30th) and a 4.2% touchdown rate (19th).

Nix has not run around as much lately (he has single-digit rushing yards in four of his past seven games), but we know he is capable of using his legs. He has produced 25 or more yards on the ground in six games.

That is relevant because Atlanta has allowed 30.4 rushing yards per game to quarterbacks, which is 30th in the league.
