Quarterback

Justin Fields (TRUST): When we last saw Fields before the bye, he was QB22 (10.6 points) against Minnesota.

Fields averaged a career-low 2.7 air yards per attempt in that game.

He now has had three of the lowest depth of throw outings of his career this season, with two of those coming in his meetings with Minnesota.

48.6% of his passes were at or behind the line of scrimmage, his highest rate as a starter over his career.

Only Desmond Ridder in Week 1 (50.0%) has had a higher rate for a starter in a game this season.

The good news is that he averaged 10.9 air yards per throw when he last played the Lions in Week 11 coming off injured reserve. That was his second-highest rate in a game this season.

The Detroit defense has gotten extremely leaky over their past six games.

Over their past six games, the Lions have allowed quarterbacks to complete 66.5% of their passes (24th) for 8.7 yards per attempt (31st) with 12 touchdowns.

They have allowed a QB1 scoring week in four of those six games, including a QB8 (21.2 points) week to Fields.

Fields added 104 yards rushing in that game, giving him three straight 100-yard rushing yard games against the Lions.
