Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson: Jackson was not perfect Sunday as we finally had some red zone regression for the Ravens. But with another 62 rushing yards and the bulk of the Week 6 slate failing, he was still able to close the week out as QB8 (17.1 points).

Jackson has thrown one or fewer touchdown passes in four of his six games this season, but he leads the quarterback position with 9.5 rushing points per game.

He is completing a career-high 69.9% of his passes as this new passing scheme has him focused on shorter throws, but Jackson’s 2.9% touchdown rate sits well below his 5.8% career rate.

With 2.0 passing touchdowns below expectations so far, I do expect some positive regression at some point to come around.

It has been interesting to watch this transformation of the Detroit defense.

Aaron Glenn was forced to manufacture pressure last year. Detroit was seventh in the league in blitz rate (33.5%) because they were 17th in the league in pressure rate (29.8%) on non-blitzes.

This season, the Lions are getting pressure 36.9% of the time without blitzing (eighth in the league) and, as a byproduct, are only blitzing 17.8% of the time, which is 30th in the league.

Getting pressure will be key here as Jackson has been on the most influenced passes under pressure this season.

When kept clean, Jackson is completing 78.6% of his passes, second in the NFL.

When under pressure, he has completed 46.8%, which is 20th. That gap is the largest completion rate differential in the league when pressured versus kept clean.

Jackson has a QB1 week under his belt against the Browns, so we are locking him in wherever we have him.

As good as Detroit has been, they have had a solid run of facing Desmond Ridder, Jordan Love, Bryce Young, and Baker Mayfield in the past four weeks. Mayfield left a lot of meat on the bone last weekend.

When Detroit was last pressed by a viable passer in Geno Smith in Week 2, he was the QB7 (23.1 points).

This will be their toughest test since the opener and arguably of the season since Patrick Mahomes did not have Travis Kelce that week.
