- 26.5% of Houston's set of downs end in a third-and-long (needing 7 or more yards), which is 29th in the league.

Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
C.J. Stroud: Stroud is working through the toughest stretch of his early career, coming off consecutive weeks as QB28, QB25, and QB23.
You have to go back to Week 4 for Stroud’s last QB1 scoring week, and he only has two of them this season.
Stroud completed just 11-of-30 (36.7%) passes on Halloween night.
His 33.3% inaccurate throw rate was the highest for any game in his career.
Stroud was 6-of-9 for 14 yards per attempt throwing to Tank Dell against the Jets but 5-of-21 for 3.1 Y/A on his other passes on Thursday.
Stroud could be getting Nico Collins back as a ray of good news.
With Collins on the field since the start of last season, Stroud has averaged 8.1 Y/A with a 67.2% completion rate compared to a 58.2% completion rate and 7.6 Y/A without Collins on the field.
If Collins can play, Stroud has added upside in a potential shootout, but the offensive line still has issues.
Stroud was pressured on 55.6% of his dropbacks last week after pressure rates of 46.2% in Week 8 and 51.7% in Week 7.
Under pressure in those games, Stroud connected on 15-of-41 passes (36.6%) for 3.9 yards per pass attempt.
Detroit is 10th in pressure rate (36.8%) and still posted a 35.6% pressure rate the past three weeks without Aidan Hutchinson.
They added Za’Darius Smith at the trade deadline to fill the void of Hutchinson.
Smith is 21st among defensive linemen in pressure rate (13.9%) on pass rush snaps.
When Detroit has gotten pressure on the quarterback, they have allowed 6.0 yards per pass attempt with 1 touchdown and 6 interceptions.
Detroit has allowed the fewest passing points per attempt (0.291).
They have not allowed multiple touchdown passes in a game this season.
This game has the potential to be exciting and provide points, but Stroud Is best used as a QB2 with the potential to get there versus chasing the ceiling outcome.
Jared Goff: Goff did not have to do much lifting on Sunday.
Goff was 18-of-22 passing but only averaged 3.7 air yards per attempt, which was 31st in the league last week.
Detroit played a conservative game in the rain, but after 3.3 air yards per pass in Week 8, it is not coincidental that Goff’s two lowest depth of target games came with the absence of Jameson Williams.
Williams is expected back after his two-game suspension.
Houston is an interesting pass defense because they have been good from a top-down perspective, but they give up a huge plays when they do allow success.
The Texans have allowed a league-low 54.9% completion rate, but on completed passes, they are allowing 11.3 yards per completion (24th).
They have allowed the league’s highest touchdown rate (6.9%) and the most passing touchdowns from outside of the red zone.
Houston has also allowed an 8.1% touchdown rate (28th) on play action passes, which Goff uses at the league’s highest rate (38.9%).
Moving back indoors against a pass defense surrendering big gains while getting Jameson Williams back, Goff slides back into fringe QB1 territory.
