NFL Showdown is not about who you play as much as how you play them.
Median projections are a tool in the toolbox, but they are to be trusted far less than they would be on the main slate. This is because of the large ramifications associated with a single player underproducing or overproducing relative to their projection.
The most likely outcome is only one of infinite outcomes.
When ownership dictates that the field has the game figured out, lean into builds around a different scenario.
The term “any given Sunday” should be the mantra for successfully building Showdown lineups.
Slate Breakdown
The Green Bay Packers are heading to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders as two-point underdogs. The total is set at 44.5.
Jimmy Garoppolo returns after a one-game absence due to a concussion. He has failed to put together a noteworthy performance as the offense continues to find its rhythm with the offseason additions.
On the Green Bay side, they have been inconsistent. Jordan Love has produced a couple of quality performances paired with a couple of poor ones.
We will be looking to stack the Raiders with a straightforward core while looking to get unique with the Packers we employ.
Injury Notes
- Aaron Jones – hamstring – questionable
- Davante Adams – shoulder – questionable
Green Bay Packers Offense
Tier 1 DFS Showdown Plays:
Jordan Love $9,800 –
The Packers started the year with a low pass rate but have picked it up over the past two games. Love has thrown 80 passes in two weeks. Over that span, his completion percentage is below average, and he’s negative one in the touchdown to interception ratio. With the Raiders' pricing, it would be difficult to prioritize Love and stack him with the appropriate number of Packers receivers.
Aaron Jones $10,000 –
Jones played just 35% of the snaps in Week 4 and was barely involved. With 11 days off, one would expect him to be fully involved, yet he’s questionable once again. Given that the Packers are coming up on their bye, if Jones is active, he’s likely to carry a heavy workload. If he’s still banged up, the team is likely to sit him for the extended break.
