Quarterback
Zach Wilson: Last week was a tough spot for Wilson and it played out as expected. In Denver, Wilson connected on 16-of-26 passes for 121 yards (4.7 Y/A) without a touchdown or interception.
The Jets were once again run-centric in a controlled game environment. They were once again below pass rate expectation (-2%), the fourth consecutive game they have been below expectations throwing the football.
Wilson has not throw a touchdown pass in any of this past three games while he still has nightmarish numbers when pressured. Under pressure Wilson now has completed 5-of-31 passes (16.1%) for 54 yards (1.7 Y/A) with two interceptions.
We just cannot handle Wilson as more than 2QB flyer right now. On top of things, the Jets lost their best offensive playmaker in Breece Hall while also losing their best offensive lineman in Alijah vera-Tucker, both for the season.
In just a little over one game played against New England last season, Wilson was 25-of-43 (58.1%) for 261 yards (6.1 Y/A) with zero touchdowns and four interceptions.
