Quarterback
Bo Nix: Sunday was another rough outing for Nix against the Jets. He completed a season-low 48.0% (12-of-25) of his throws for only 60 yards.
Nix now has games with 3.3 and 2.4 yards per attempt over his opening four games.
The Broncos won the game, but this feels similar to what we were getting from Kenny Pickett in Pittsburgh, another older prospect who leaned on wins to mask some pitiful passing lines.
Nix has more runway to change the narrative.
If looking for something positive, he did throw his first career touchdown pass on Sunday.
Nix does get his best matchup of the early season this week if you are running him out in 2QB leagues (I am in this boat due to byes in a league, so know that you are not alone).
The Raiders are 31st in the league in pressure rate (25.5% of dropbacks), which has been Nix's biggest thorn in the side to open his career.
Under pressure, Nix is 31st in the NFL with a 34.3 rating, completing 18-of-43 (41.9%) passes for 172 yards (4.0 Y/A) with 2 interceptions.
When kept clean, he completes at least 68.4% of his passes for 5.1 yards per attempt, with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.
The Raiders are 21st in passing points allowed per pass attempt (0.430).
Gardner Minshew: Minshew completed a season-low 58.3% of his passes for only 130 yards and 5.4 yards per pass attempt on Sunday against the Browns.
Minshew has not had a week higher than QB19 to open the season, which leaves him as a back-end option for 2QB gamers forced to fill a hole.
His matchup does not get better this week.
Denver is third in the league in pressure rate (40.7% of dropbacks) and is fifth in passing points allowed per attempt (0.292).
They have allowed 8.8 passing points per game (6th) and a 2.5% touchdown rate (6th).
