  • The Chiefs are first in the league in third down conversion rate (50.7%) while the Raiders are 30th (33.8%).
  • The Raiders lead the NFL in yards per play while leading in the game (6.4 yards) compared to 5.1 yards per play while trailing (24th). That -1.3 yards per play difference while ahead versus trailing is the largest in the league.
  • Opponents have converted 77.4% (24-of-31) of their red zone possessions for touchdowns against the Raiders, the highest rate in the league.
  • The Raiders are 31st in the league in red zone touchdown conversion on offense at 50% (22-of-44).
  • Since their Week 8 bye, the Raiders have scored a touchdown on 14.8% (8-of-54) drives, 28th in the NFL.
  • Over the past eight weeks, opponents have scored on just 26.8% (19-of-71) drives against the Chiefs. Only the Patriots (23.0%) have been better over that span.
  • From Week 7 on, the Chiefs have scored on 39.7% (23-of-58) of their drives, 15th in the NFL after scoring on 52.7% (29-of-55) prior (fifth).

Trust = spike production for that player

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes (TRUST): Mahomes is coming off failing to throw a touchdown pass in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Things have not improved for Mahomes in the midst of the season for fantasy, posting just one week higher than QB17 over his past six games played.

That one game he did was when he was the QB1 overall (36.2 points) against the Raiders in Week 10, throwing for 406 yards and five touchdown passes. A lot was made about how the Raiders defended the Chiefs in that Sunday night game as Mahomes was 18-of-21 passing for 221 yards and a touchdown against Cover 3, going against the frequent shell coverage of two-high safeties that have notoriously slowed down the Chiefs this season. The thing is, even against two-high safeties in that game, Mahomes was also 8-of-12 passing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Mahomes now has thrown for 340, 348, and 406 yards the past three times these teams have met.

The Raiders are 22nd in points allowed per pass attempt (0.46) on the strength of a 5.0% touchdown rate (26th) allowed.
