Quarterback

Justin Herbert: Herbert hasn’t played poorly the past two weeks, but he has had nothing to show for things in fantasy, finishing as the QB26 (8.7 points) and QB30 (5.5 points). Herbert has thrown for over 7.0 yards per pass attempt in four straight games after hitting that rate just three times over his opening 11 games, but he has just two passing touchdowns over that span with no passing scores in either of the past two games.

After touchdown rates of 5.2% and 5.7% over his first two years in the league, Herbert is currently sitting on a 3.3% touchdown rate this season, which is below that of his counterpart in this game.

It has been a frustrating ride here for gamers, but Herbert has improved across the board in terms of output since getting both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams on the field together, outside of touchdown production. Herbert had four consecutive QB1 scoring weeks prior to the past two weeks. We can do nothing but keep pushing forward here with Herbert as a volatile QB1.

The Rams are allowing a 67.4% completion rate (27th) and 7.3 yards per attempt (22nd), but a 3.9% touchdown rate (10th) paired with 14 interceptions (tied for fourth) have them 12th in passing points allowed per attempt (0.395). A lot of completions while preventing touchdowns sounds exactly like what we have been getting from this passing game from the Chargers.
