- The Eagles have a -42 point differential (17-59) in the first quarter this season (28th) and are +150 afterward, 2nd in the league.
- The Steelers have allowed a league-low 10 points off turnovers this season.
- Pittsburgh has scored 85 points off opponent turnovers, 3rd in the league.
- Since Russell Wilson took over as the starter, the Steelers have averaged a league-high 5.6 plays of 20 or more yards per game.
- Since their Week 5 bye, the Eagles have allowed the fewest plays of 20 or more yards per game (2.0).
- Philadelphia has allowed a league-low 1.29 points per drive since their Week 5 bye.
- The Steelers have allowed 1.74 points per drive over that span, which is 4th in the league.
- The Steelers are a league-best 10-3 against the point spread, which includes 5-0 ATS as an underdog.
Trust = spike production for that player
Quarterback
Jalen Hurts: Hurts ended a mini-skid for him in fantasy on Sunday, closing the week as QB4 (24.2 points).
The passing production was mild once again.
Hurts only threw for 108 yards and 5.1 yards per pass attempt.
But he did throw 2 touchdowns while adding 59 yards and another touchdown on the ground to bolster his fantasy line.
Hurts is up to 13 rushing touchdowns, matching Derrick Henry for the league lead.
He has 16 passing touchdowns.
Once again, the Eagles did not throw the ball much in the second half while controlling the game.
Hurts threw the ball 7 times in the second half on Sunday, right on par with his average since the Week 5 bye.
Over the past nine games, Hurts has averaged 7.2 pass attempts per game after halftime, by far the fewest in the league.
For some added context, Anthony Richardson has only played in five games over that span and has attempted 76 passes in the second half compared to the 65 for Hurts over 9 games.
The Eagles are the only team in the league with more rushing yards than passing yards.
Hurts always has an added avenue of production for fantasy with his legs, but this is a tough assignment if you are hunting for a big week from him in the fantasy playoffs.
The Steelers have not allowed a QB1 scorer in a game this season.
They have not allowed 20 fantasy points to any quarterback.
This is also a tough spot for how Hurts has struggled as a passer.
After getting Alex Highsmith back on Sunday, the Steelers had a 40% pressure rate (6th in Week 14).
With Highsmith on the field, they have a 39.5% pressure rate on the year, which would be 2nd in the league.
Under pressure this season, Hurts has completed 46.1% of his passes (21st) for 5.1 yards per attempt (29th).
When kept clean, he has completed 78.5% of his passes (2nd) for 9.3 Y/A (3rd).
It will be interesting to see how aggressive the Steelers get here.
They play man coverage on 31.6% of their defensive snaps (8th in the league).
Hurts has shredded man coverage if they don’t get home in those spots.
Hurts has averaged 10.0 Y/A against man coverage (2nd in the league) with a 10.2% touchdown rate (7th).
Russell Wilson: Wilson found a way to turn in a usable week last week despite struggling to produce passing efficiency without George Pickens.
Wilson only completed 57.7% of his passes for 158 yards (6.1 Y/A).
But he did throw a pair of touchdowns while adding 16 yards rushing to carve out 16 fantasy points.
Wilson has averaged 17.1 fantasy points per game since taking over as the starter.
This is a spot where Wilson is best left as a QB2 option.
We expect the Steelers to be without Pickens again this week, and he will be going against the best defense in the league over the past two months.
Over their past 9 games, the Eagles have allowed a 62.7% completion rate (8th), 5.6 yards per pass attempt (1st), and a 2.4% touchdown rate (2nd).
